This time I took some grunge and injected Type O Negative style in there. So, what if Type O Negative really wrote Rooster by Alice In Chains? Here's my take as an imagination of how would it sound.
A lot of you suggested Alice In Chains, or Alice In Negative in the comments, so here it is! Thank you for suggesting these interesting ideas!

My brother went to their show here in W.V. and met them back stage. He had a Type O decal of them they signed for him. He gave it to me one year for my birthday. I still have it.

I got to shake his hand and briefly tell him and Josh what his music meant to me on their RoadRage tour with Coal Chamber. Hands down the greatest show I've ever seen, still to this day. I saw them about 12 times after that, but the combo of Coal Chamber opening and meeting Peter and Josh made that night the bestest!

@@teamexpress851 Except it would be semi-plagiarism. He does make his own music. But that alone would barely get noticed in today's music business. So he records these masterful gifts to us fans to put himself out there & draw more attention to his own talent than he would've without making these perfect covers. Of course that's just one way of looking at it. The simple way is that he creates art with each of these videos. Anything that happens after that is just a bonus, for he already has the satisfaction in knowing that he just made magic & that it means something to someone, how many is irrelevant \m/ And yes, that may sound lame to someone but I really don't care :)

@@teamexpress851 I'm well aware of all of that. The unfortunate reality is that anyone making this kind of music independently is simply not going to pay all the bills by only doing this as it's not commercially viable. Therefore it does technically become a hobby (which is perfectly fine) & other forms of income must be found. I actually prefer it that way as then the music doesn't get watered down to cater to a market, they have full artistic freedom. But I wish I had tons of money to give talented ppl like this a mansion, I believe they deserve it. I only took issue with your first comment as 1) there's nothing sad about this guy, I'm sure he's not stupid to not know about how the music business works. And 2) doing what you say is a good idea for him to do will definitely not give him financial freedom. I'm not saying there's no money in it, just not enough for him to be rolling in the dough which is financial freedom. These types of artists always need another source of income unfortunately. I really wish it wasn't that way though.

Was waiting for the "you know he aint gonna die" in a Kenny Hickey style scream.. I think it needed the "Ooouuuuuu" parts harmonized like Josh and Kenny usually do. Great "what if" but I think it needed more of other Type O members than just Pete. Your bass tone is spot on though. Dracula style singing was a bit over done.

Same dude, and Alice In Chains is also a huge band for me so this is simply incredible! This dude not only nails Type O's sound but he got Pete's dynamics down to a tee and he's reimagining these songs much the same way Pete actually would have. This is awesome work!

As much as I love these interpretations, there’s always that one thing missing from making them perfect Type O recreations; That tweak of discordant feedback you always hear from the guitars before the riffs and chords blast out. Add those, and these would be PERFECT

Seriously commend you sir. Im a life long typo fan and just played this one loud as all hell without watching. For a minute i thought Peter came back. The day he died has a strange memory. I was at the Roadburn doom/stoner festival. Peter died that same weekend and on the day the volcano in Iceland exploded. Many bands didn't make it to the venue and were replaced because the airplanes could not fly due to the dust cloud from the volcano. That volcano was dubbed as Peter's dying last breath that entire weekend and all the bands paid homage to him.

He sounds more like Pete than most who try.... The soft organ and piano is a nice touch and the refrain possess the appropriate heavy darkness.... I totally dig it! Well done, sir. Had I a cap, I would doff it to you...🙏😉 i wish my best friend who also loved ToN and was the one who introduced me to them in the first place were still alive to hear this.... I'd be curious to know her thoughts, as she also loved Alice in Chains. Long live Lord Petrus! Thank you for you contribution in keeping his memory alive. It really is almost like listening to a new ToN song... Well. Cover, technically. But still. Amazing job. I especially love those little details like the rolled R's and the occasional sliding of a note. Brilliant. I love both Alice and Type O; this feels like a tribute to both bands. Your Peter Steele impression is uncanny - if someone told me this was a long lost bootleg of the green man himself performing this, I wouldn't question it. Regardless of how awesome this guy sounds, feels a bit disrespectful to his legacy. Peter was more to TON than just his voice and musical prowess, so let's not treat him as replaceable. Not only is the delivery one of the most convincing examples of vocal imitation, the interpretation of what a cover song might sound like by Type O is a new and worthy creation in itself. There are three obvious routes to follow from here: (1) You keep doing this RU-vid thing, which is fine by me; (2) you reassemble Type O somehow and fill the very large shoes of Pete (I believe Josh is an EMT now, so that might be difficult); (3) or you get the blessing to release a LP of covers performed by “Type O”. @@szabolcsrapp4279 I know that Peter "abused" Peavey amps and I believe that I have identified 2 pedals (Boss Eq and Chorus)on his board, but not the settings.

@@szabolcsrapp4279 same here. I just don't know how to go about it. So, my idea was to identify the gear and then search for plugins. I haven't found any of the stock plugins on Sonar's cake walk or Garageband to come close. I'm wondering if Reaper or Podfarm would work?
