Great! Now all we need is What if Vegeta turned good early to balance this one out. A good place to start would be when he was young, or my most used idea, after loosing to Goku and Friends, he called his spaceship only to learn it had been destroyed by a random Ki blast made during their battle. He has to heal alongside Goku and train with him on the way to Namek. And you know what Goku does to bad guys given enough time. Be my friend!
*(Vegeta as he readies himself to blow up Earth)* Vegeta: “This was a great idea. Good work, brain.” Vegeta’s brain: _“But of course.”_ *(Vegeta as he’s being crushed by Broly)* Vegeta: _“Damn! Lungs... being squeezed... Bones... breaking... Brain... status report!”_ Vegeta’s brain: _“Blah blah blah blah, pride, blah blah, Prince of all, blah blah blah, Super Saiyan... blah blah blah.”_
I like how DBS Paragus seems to care a lot more about his son than DBZ paragus. He’s legit scared that broly will loose his mind, which is why he has the shock collar. To stop broly from going berserk. He legit tried to call broly back to freiza ship before vegeta attempted to murder broly.
Its argurably which is the worse/better father since Z's version does a few things better (and lets face it, the dub or sub really matters as one makes his actions more as a necessary evil than something he takes enjoyment out of), Super's is better on others
The first “What If” to add the word “never” to a “What if ____________ turned good?” I wonder who else you’ll prevent from turning good? Piccolo? Buu? I’m looking forward to whatever you come up with!
Honestly I can't see a ton changing with the buu what if. I think the only difference would be no grand supreme Kai for the Moro arc and no buu pudding incident. Because well I honestly don't see an evil buu lasting outside the buu saga. Piccolo would be a good one, since I don't think Piccolo Junior had enough time for his character arc. Seeing him be evil would be interesting, though there's not much wiggle room for an evil piccolo for a story besides from what I can theorize.
I'd recommend What It Raditz Never Came To Earth. Piccolo being evil is so nice and interesting. As for Buu the only way I'd see that happening is in a what if Buu won. Honorable mentions : what if Goku won against master Roshi , what if Nappa turned good, what if Raditz turned good, what if Broly turned good, and lastly what if cell turned good.
@@greed_island8084 That first Raditz one? Masako only has that one part. Truth be told, it was a bit of a hint for him to get back on that one, since it’s been quite a while since he’s touched that one. As for your “honorable mentions”, I’m already seeing the ones still in progress, as well as already finished watching the ones that are complete.
@@greed_island8084 tgat would be cool a timeline where the earthlings stay on earth and it raises interesting questions about how and where ssj will come in
@@genesismultiverse4896I figure that kinda just comes with the deal for immortals in Dragon Ball, the verse doesn't typically have monkey paw stuff like that.
Vegeta that’s the problem with his character he’s so goddamn cocky he thinks that when his power gets the highest he thinks no one can beat him and in the end he just proved to be another Frieza
To be fair, when you can tank a planet exploding in your face, you kind of deserve that level of cockiness. Had he tried to unite the galaxy under his control so the beings in his power loved him, empowered their technological development, perfected battle techniques for his armies, or at least get in the good side of the planets that had Dragonballs for resources, this could have gone very differently. I know, Vegeta never turned good, but this would still keep him ‘evil’ for the most part - he’s simply making sure his rule is never questioned because of loyalty rather than fear. He could also push for beings on planets under his rule to either get as strong as possible, or feed those that can. Progress or destruction, the empire of Vegeta can ill afford anything else. Personally, I would imagine Vegeta making up a threat from outside the galaxy that everyone must prepare to face in a century or two. He can live long enough for such a threat after all, and it should unite the galaxy for a while under his leadership. Saiyans and hybrids would move to New Vegeta and begin to increase their numbers, the new members being sent across the galaxy to learn techniques and abilities to increase their meager base strength. This would then be taught to all Saiyans regarding of class, because it is more important in the short term to make Saiyans as powerful as possible in the shortest time available. The long plan will be different, but it can’t overshadow what must be done soon…
A little over half way in and in really liking some of the changes. Gohan being the first Super Saiyan, Piccolo getting to shine and Goku not being leagues ahead of everyone because of SSJ. This story also really makes you realize how freakishly powerful those man made androids were.
The continuation of this story would be really interesting as Broly would take Vegeta’s place as Goku’s partner. And after some training to teach him to control his power and rage he would have limitless potential. Plus Goku’s friendship with Broly would be closer and even more positive than Vegeta
I would be interested in what would happen here without Vegeta. Presumably with Broly's help they just stomp the Androids and Cell immediately, but there's the possibility of a Majin Broly in the Buu saga still leading to complications, and I wonder if Resurrection F would happen at all. I know this is pretty similar to just "what if Broly Turned Good" now but maybe this could use an epilogue where you just briefly go over changes from Vegeta's absence and Broly's presence.
I can't help but feel both the Android and Buu Sagas would be way easier than in the "main timeline." 1. Not only do more of Team Dragon know Yardratian techniques besides Goku, but Broly doesn't have Vegeta's ego issues. Maybe if Cell also knew the Yardratian spirit control he could be dangerous, but no one would willing let him absorb #17 and #18 either. So possibly no Cell games. 2. Since Goku is getting Broly the psychiatric help he needs, I also doubt Babidi would be able to take control of him. No one else would willingly let themselves get controlled either. Unless Dabra puts up a good fight, Buu might not be unleashed at all. On the off chance he somehow is though, I could see Broly befriending him like in one of the other What-Ifs. It would probably be Beerus who gives them the biggest challenge, though I can see Goku and Broly becoming Whis's students after the fight. Instead of Resurrection F or V, I vote for Fusion Reborn. Why settle for one villain making a comeback when you can have multiple? Plus, Goku and Broly could fuse into Broku to defeat Janemba! After that, I'm not sure.
to be fair, Vegeta IS (at least in my opinion) the ultimate Saiyan. He not only surpasses every limit that is set before him, but does so through sheer force of will. Even destroyers respect him.
This reminds me of the DBZA recap where Vegeta is on Namek and just laughing hysterically while doing evil crap all over the planet until getting pissed lmao. These videos and stories are great. 😃
Immortal Vegeta: "What's your Power Level?" Broly: "I don't know. Pretty big I guess." Immortal Vegeta: "You're in." *later on* Wrath State Broly: "My Power Level is... MAXIMUMER!!!" Immortal Vegeta: "Prove it."
It never needed to be near death goku got zenkais training in the gravity ship to namek, the closer to death the bigger the boost but there is always a boost.
I feel like the demise of Vegeta could've been less anticlimactic, he should be able to at least ki blast metal the moment he knew he was hurt, and then the true battle goes from there, just felt unfitting for him
That was actually a very entertaining story in my opinion. Loved how of all the z Fighters Yamcha was the one who became immortal and that Super Broly ended it all with the OG Broly Pod hug. Your voices weren’t bad either especially Vegetas. Nice work keep it up bro I’m a new sub now for sure and want to hear more
Like I said in the finale video, I like to see a continuation of this scenario seeing how Future Trunks is non-existent in this scenario and me wanting to see Gohan interact with his Future self.
If Freeza was smart, he would have powered up to his final form and held Vegeta in a full nelson until he could figure out how to properly contain him. That or blow up the planet, bounce, and get his father's assistance. The two would subdue the prince, allowing the Freeza/Cold forces to render Vegeta unconscious. Then it'd be an eternity of being poked and prodded by scientists to see if the method of immortality can be replicated via SCIENCE!
Now I have the mental image of Raditz helping Goku and Chichi run their farming business. Hell, given that he worked for Freeza's Empire, that doubled as real estate, he might be a good salesman.
I think it would be interesting to see what would happen if Piccolo stayed evil after the original Dragon Ball. I knew next to nothing about the franchise as a kid, let alone that Z wasn't the start of the story. Imagine my surprise to find out that the green alien guy Goku seemed to be allied with was an ex-villain!
You know, it would be interesting to see how things go differently in this timeline with Broly being there instead of Vegeta. Maybe see how the other sagas would play out. Of course, Broly realizing his full power without needing the rage means he'd basically one shot just about any enemy in Z considering he was stronger than SSGod Goku in Super.
That could've been an interesting alternate ending. Goku or Piccolo trapping Vegeta via Mafuba and the latter loses his mind stuck in a jar for Tori-bot knows how long...
Hmm... Any plans for a sequel series? Don’t suppose so, but I figure I’d ask. Super Broly would crush Cell like a bug, and Buu would be... A fun toy, perhaps, as long as he didn’t blow up the planet.
The most anti climatic version of this whatif is where roshi whips out the mafuba and they throw the jar on the hyperbolic time chamber then destroy the door
Personally I think an immortal Saiyan would be a detriment to their growth. If immortal in the means of Dragon Ball is instant regeneration, there can't be a grievous life threatening wound if the damage was nullified. If a zenkai boost requires a saiyan returning from the brink of death, then an immortal saiyan has no threshold to cross, no brink to come back from. Making a zenkai impossible. There is no grievous wound to get stronger from if the wound never happened.
I always thought dragon ball acquired immortality was actively supplied by the dragon that granted the wish. So if the dragon is gone so to is the immortality. So Vegeta would’ve been immortal for all of two minutes. (That’s my headcanon anyhow.) Great video by the way!
Personally I think zenkais depend on how injured you get which is why vageta getting a hole through him gave him a massive zenkai (sorry if thats spelled wrong but other characters getting injured shows little to no difference (like when vagets got his arm broken and arguably would have gotten less of a boost from a broken arm from say being on deaths door thats my take also you gotta remember plot
you're right, if i remember right in canon goku got zenkai while training with the gravity changed, on his way to namek, so being wounded or hurting your body in general make you get a zenkai is just that the more wounded it is, more zenaki you get
To be honest I would like a continuation of this story... maybe a Broly and Bulma Love connection... a cocky Yamcha refuses to give up being immortal... and of course Broly and Paragus in the Android saga... oh and future Gohan instead of Trunks.
Vegeta: "YES! I'M IMMORTAL! YOU CAN'T STOP ME FRIEZA, NO ONE CAN!!!" Frieza: " But have you thought about implications?" Vegeta: "What implications?" Frieza: "Did you specify what kind of immortality you wanted Vegeta? Because for all as I know you may have made yourself long living, NOT invincible" Vegeta: "GODDAMN IT NAPPA!!!"
Honestly one of my favorites you've done, it would've been an interesting route I would like to see a possible continuation focusing on a more relaxed Broly and Parugus (Also LOVED Good Guy Parugus!) The only issue I had was how Vegeta went It does work, but for him being a big threat i wished we got more But if we see this series return i had a few ideas A more paitent Broly and Android 16 meet up And Vegeta taking Friezas spot in the rest of supers story, legit I can see him getting SSJ 3 mastered with that time vs god ki would be fun + the tournament of power being more interesting cause you can do 2 routes, either continue this unredeemed Vegeta or turn him good there But still even if you don't do it, easily one of my favorite full what if series you've done
I like vegeta it's interesting how he became a good guy kind of but I could see him staying evil if not through this story may be a kind of space pirate that continuously challenges goku for personal supremacy And instead of being a conqueror like frieza hes just looking for a fight any kind of fight strong or weak doesn't matter to him like how margin buu kid buu is simply just destroying everything because he wants to and that's how he is
It could be interesting so see a continuation of this univers. With broly on the Z team it would be interesting to see how would cell be, or if babidi would take control over broly at a weaker point.
Totally agree, makes me smile each time.... but you know, at the very least we still saw him once in a while, even in Super, he wasn't TOTALLY forgotten/"Hakai'ed" like idk... Launch for example !! 😅
