Fanfiction usually depicts characters in ways they would NEVER act, and deliver it in such a cringe way. But Dragon Ball fans seem to just, understand the characters and love the entire story of Dragon Ball. I'm happy I finally found a way to enjoy Dragon Ball (I mean, besides these types of videos), but ashamed that it took the passing of one of the greatest artists of the modern age. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. You still impacted my childhood heavily, even if I wasn't a faithful viewer.
Goku: Heya Best Buddy! How's it going? Vegeta: Doing great! How about you best buddy? We can talk over the training sessions. Goku: Heh sure let's go! I can actually hear Lani and MasakoX saying this in this what if
The biggest change is the imprisonment of Pickalo it made cool easier to kill because without namekian DNA Cell becomes a weaker person evin in perfect 👌 cell form because healing was one of his most useful natural abilities 😮😮 .
@@keith9005100% I found it was utter bullshit that Goku was more hard on his brother than the ego-centric, genocide enthused Vegeta. Raditz, when you read his Ki would come across as a someone who is cunning to the point of crossing into cowardice, marred by extreme insecurity, would be far easier to change than Vegeta who took a couple decades to truly mellow out and stop being such a PoS.
@@u.s.s.chucklefucker1657 I completely agree with the points you made. It's all the hard truth that needed to be said. Not only that Raditz looked alot like Vegeta but with longer hair, more muscular and taller. He was alot more intimidating than Vegeta was! Raditz will always be my favorite saiyan. He might be my favorite character of all time! I also feel like Goku would have a much better bond with his brother. Sure Raditz kidnapped his son, but Vegeta almost had everyone on earth killed. He was a much bigger threat yet he was spared. I would have atleast liked if Goku gave Raditz a chance when Goku had greatly surpassed him and brought him back. Or the fight could have gone alot differently like Masakos what if. Removing Raditz as a character completely from the story was and still is such a waste, as he was the bigger brother of Goku.
Wow, if i had a nickel for every time a Saiyan got knocked on their head and turned good i'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
17:03 Raditz and Nappa: "Look, Vegeta. I know it’s our job to help this guy and everything, but I think this guy is a lost cause. He’s obviously made up his mind. Why don’t we just cut our losses and get out of here?"
I've always had a weird what if that I think could work, "what if goku farmed siabamen" since gokus farms, he could've got some beans off nappa and cultivated them into powerful allys learning to grow them stronger and stronger maybe using them to train too
Yamcha: hey Goku, I was getting back into training and krillen told me that helping you farm would be a good star.. (Saibaman grabs him) Yamcha:aaaaahhh (Boom)
That's better for an alternate Timeline in a game but 100% cant happen in the series since Nappa used all of his seeds in that fight and Saibamen were stated to be genetically engineered and unless Bulma worked on them, they'd never grow stronger.
i would love to see this going into GT. imagine this vegeta becoming the vessel for Baby. and since nobody knew the old vegeta it would be very impactful.
Part of the plan was to track down Babidi's ship, which is where Buu's sealed ball is. If they knock out Babidi's initial minions, then the wizard would not only be on high alert, would be more discreet with energy collecting, but Majin Buu would be a far bigger threat if he gains more energy than is required. By dealing with the threat before it becomes a threat, it makes things easier... in theory anyway.
I just noticed a minor plot hole, in the Majin Buu Saga, he says that Foten sweeps the junior division of the Tenkaichi Budokai but then that he wins the main tournament…
@Xtheartist465 The implication that saiyans conquer planets and can use a pod to heal most wounds, yet don't practice safe sex Don't be like saiyans kids, saiyan armour won't protect you from STDs
i loved it. Vegeta had the biggest growth in the original series and didn´t get the recognition he deserved. This gave me some kind of closure at last (least).
Yo Salad iv'e got a What IF that would be an intreting challenge for ya, What if Raditz body was found by Gero and turned into an Android, Because of the fly bots scanning all the fights Goku had on earth means that Gero would of found a easy target for his experiments, Plus can an Android Saiyan turn super saiyan because of how there body has changed, I'd think that would be an intresting concept, So you could have it that he replaces Android 16 in a sense, It would be cool to see Raditz as a good guy kinda like 17 and hanging around with the other Androids and krillin.
Salad you are a very good dbz what if creator, you have much knowledge and mostly makes content interesting rather then just making verses up like other creators, yours actually makes sense. You and carthu dojo, and masakox are like the best what if content creators.
I know power levels weren't really mentioned, but if Turles' power hadn't changed all that much from his canon appearance, then before eating Earth's fruit, his power is stated to be 19,000, only marginally stronger than Vegeta was in canon. This is backed up by the fact that the few times we see Turles fight Goku, who supposedly has a power level of 30,000 in this movie, he isn't able to land a hit and is consistently running away. After he eats the fruit, he is able to bloody and injure Goku in just three hits and a blast, showing that he's definitely much stronger. However, his power level is listed on kanzenshuu to be "Over 300,000"... which is hilariously wrong. Because Goku uses a Kaioken x20. His power is thus 600,000. Turles still completely toys with him; with ease overpowering Goku in his first attack and incapacitating him in just a couple hits. This means that Turles MUST bare minimum be around 720,000, about 20% stronger than Goku, because this is the sort of power level difference we see for characters to be so overpowering (such as Cui, 18k, vs Vegeta, 24k). Thus, as the guide is clearly dead wrong and Turles actually got to a power of about 720,000... eating Earth's Tree of Might Fruit made him *_just under 38x stronger._* And Turles importantly only ate A SINGLE BITE of the fruit, not the whole thing. I assume Vegeta's power is only about 2000, since he thought they would only even stand a chance as Great Apes. This still results in his power becoming 76,000 if we use the same multiplier. And then with a few days to solidify his power here, then the Wrathful Form to multiply it by ten... his power would be about 760k. Far, far more powerful that 1st Form Freeza, but not enough to overpower his second form. Which lies up very perfectly with Freeza believing he could defeat Vegeta easily if he could just fight him alone. Long story short, I love how without even mentioning power levels, this actually follows with what those of us who do like numbers would expect. Very well done, especially the little addition of the Earthlings having the fruit to keep up.
@@LassanaJaiteh-p2eVegeta wasn't born at 18,000. Bardock was 10,000 approaching King Vegeta levels, and Vegeta said he surpassed his father as a child, so he couldn't be anymore. I believe in the ¿¿dizenshu?? It says that Vegetas power was 18K in the saiyan saga.
@@abdullah10951 Thats... a really good point. Goku at his 90K Namek power level was sure that he could do x10. A goku with a third of that should be able to pull it off, but probably with the strain the x20 had on Goku V Frieza.
Of all the stories I’ve watched from this channel this maybe my favorite thus far Based on where it left off I certainly hope you build on the story that was presented 💯💯
1:42:05 Future Raditz and Future Nappa are probably gonna help rebuild Earth where the former becomes King and successor of Furry while the latter becomes a Hollywood producer.
Great Job Salad! This was a great what if definitely one for the books! This what if got me thinking, what if Vegeta arrived during the Piccolo Jr arc, kinda like that one fan animation where Goku and Vegeta fought Broly.
@@Chrisp-gn9bv You know that one fan animation “LEGEND-A DRAGON BALL TALE”?Thats what I’m talking about. If you haven’t seen it you should check it out its really good.
All hail anything to do with Vegeta! Great story. What if, Freeza never destroyed planet Vegeta? Would any of DBZ happen? Surely someone would have come to check on Kakarot sooner.
I've always had a weird what if that I think could work, "what if goku farmed siabamen" since gokus farms, he could've got some beans off nappa and cultivated them into powerful allys learning to grow them stronger and stronger maybe using them to train too
The base idea's neat, but I think it could have been more interesting if prince Vegeta was good for a difrent reason. I thought for a sec that you were going the route where he'd actually be "good" throughout his childhood on planet Vegeta, going on a rebelious streak towards his still rather cruel father. This could have been done due to something he'd have experienced in his formative years as a child that inspired him to be a just prince and to try and mend the ways of the Sayans, only to end up banished by both his people and a very annoyed father. I feel like that struggle would be an amazing departure from "what if we only slightly tweaked the typical Dragon Ball story like every other what if?" I think it wouldn't be that unlikely either. Seeing how the cannon Vegeta of today is a stark defender of the earth and does his very best to protect the ones he loves. Despite his bumpy road getting to this point, this only tells me that if he were to resist the influence of his race's upbringing as a child, he could very well be a force for good from the start. And we all know just how stubborn he can be, so it wouldn't be weird at all for him to rebel against the current way things are handled on Vegeta. He'd just need to have something impressive enough happen to make him WANT to try it for himself. Oddly enough... I could see this version of Vegeta being MUCH stronger then the OC one. Seeing as this one would constantly be hounded by his own race and would probably end up on the bad side of Freeza pretty early on. Meaning, he'd be doing something the OC Vegeta didn't till he met Goku. And that would be train to be stronger. Let's not forget. Vegita was a genuine prodigy among the Sayan race. OC Vegeta let that get to his head. Not unlike Freeza. There wouldn't be any of that entitlement in THIS Vegeta. Oh.... Also... Goku didn't "become good because he bumped his head", the bump basicly just hit the reset button on him. It was Gohan that used this opportunity to make him good. There's no way in hell a simple case of amnesia alone would make any Sayan raised by other Sayans to become good. They'd just be taught to be ruthless jerks all over again.
Yknow, i would like it if in these "x turns good" stories, rather than making them do a 180° on their entire personality, they instead retained most of their personality. Like, example: cell turning good, we know that he kinda does his own thing, so imagine if he was sort of like an anti hero who would gladly absorb 17 and 18 again if he needed to, sort of like how frieza is still evillish evil despite teaming up with goku a few times already in dbs.
This was one hell of a journey. Listened to this in the background whilst doing other shit and damn, I was hyped the more the video progressed. I love that Nappa and Raditz played a role in the end. Vegeta being good, and the hero, feels fantastic.
In the tree of might saga, goku and vegeta could've gathered the dragon balls and used them to destroy the effects of the tree while giving turles a tree of might for free.
2:50 Frieza: besides I may be evil but sending a young soldier with head trauma to a battle is to much. If something will happen to that monkey then at the very least he should know who he is and what he’s doing
Salad I always like your what if scenarios it's fun and very interesting to watch and I like the content and seeing different characters having their own development and everything it's so cool and fascinating and I like the character art work it's so cool to see on your channel and it's just awesome and cool and fun and I like it 🙂
@@surytheworst805 Not really. If they participate in and win the tournament, the people of earth would still know of them during the Buu Saga. So if the Spirit Bomb is still needed, ttey would probably help.
I can't see Nappa and Raditz being able to get away from Vegeta with a power level that's more than two times theirs. Also, canonically Frieza only sent them to planets with weaker inhabitants, lower gravity and they weren't very keen on using “weird” techniques. To contrast, I love the scenario of Raditz and Nappa staying alive and getting stronger than before and for Turles to join them with the idea of them all fighting Frieza.
@@Think_mate_lol yes Im well aware.. it was just a thought since they already want to make everyone as op as possible right out the rip. This way he's still forced to go to earth instead of just blasting away Frieza at the ripe old age of 3 or 4. Plus this could give more creative liberties in situations instead of just the same old song.
@@Think_mate_lol tbh I haven't read anything past the moro arc but most of the what ifs nowadays are honestly getting boring and predictable and I really only watch them to support the channels. I just threw out this idea just to see if something comes of it. I do like most of the what ifs but most creators are like echo chambers with very little differences between them. I'm just trying to offer up an idea where liberties can be taken to spice things up a little.
I always say "another one of my favourites" or something along those lines but tbf idk if I can pick any favourites since I like them all for their own reasons. Some I like more than others though so I'll have to make a Top 5 at some point 🦍
Who would have thought that the best thing for Vegeta and all of universe 7 was for Vegeta to receive head trauma. Its a shame that Piccolo isn't created because King Piccolo is sealed away, and Fat Buu gets killed. But it's awesome to see that Raddits, Nappa and almost all of the future timeline characters are still alive. And that there's multiple God form characters rather than just Vegeta and Goku.
