I wonder if a side-effect of this Majinification unlocks Goku's memories - from before he got the bump on the noggin - for good...

Yey, What If Vegeta Was The First Super Saiyan has returned.

Goku, who has trained 4 years on Yardrat, with focused angry tenacity now with the Majin boost looking forward to what comes next

Vegeta needs to be humbled, so Goku should win outright with out any tricks, then goes to blow himself up against Buu.

I would just like to point out Vegeta hasn’t disrespected popo, nobody’s that crazy...right?

Interesting idea: What it Vegeta was a master, not a rival? What if, when Vegeta arrives, he has already achieved Super Saiyan and has been humbled by Frieza (as his base power doesn’t make it more than Frieza V2) and so he became a more teaching and leader figure to the other two Saiyans. So, when all three arrive at Earth, rather than just Raditz, Vegeta teaches the Z-warriors before fighting them, and offers them a place in his personal force so one day they can overthrow Frieza together (whilst pretending to serve him). Over time, while his power comes to be merely rival Goku’s, his personality shifts from combative to aggressive while remaining the teacher. He becomes the one who mentors the other Saiyans, and when Beerus shows up, he is ASKED by Whis to train with him in secret, so he can become a worthy replacement for Beerus, as well as teach the other warriors god-ki.

I feel like this would absolutely be a “teaching AND learning” moment for Vegeta. By trying to remind Goku of who he is, Vegeta will also realizes there are characteristics in Goku that, if adopted, could make HIM a better person, and a better Saiyan.

Majinn Goku? Hunger is the path to the Dark Side, indeed.

First time we get an actual evil version of Goku that wasn't either body swapped or a villainous look-a-like 😲

I can imagine Vegeta, as the unofficial new mentor and overseer and uncle of gohan, making him and Videl feel awkward by just being there looking. something like this: Videl: Who is the creepy guy? Gohan: He is vegeta. he is hard to deal with but he is a good guy (Vegeta is just staring at them from away) Gohan: .... most of the time

Guessing that they use the the Dragon Balls to undo the Majin Process, either that or Goku undoes it himself by realizing who he became. Goku's heart at it's core is good, and that should shine through, likely with Gohan snapping sense into him

An “evil” Goku would probably be fairly similar to Majin Buu after he woke up in demeanor... it would be kind of hilarious if they teamed up and Buus first friend was Goku not Mr Satan. Vegeta would have his work cut out for him then.

Knowing goku's personality. He would still be like canon. Goku does not like cheating, but not to this level.

I could see Goku going ssj3 and being too caught up in his anger to recognize the drawbacks resulting in Vegeta just getting the victory over him

This should probably end on a not so good ending for Vegeta. Or at the very least, humble him very, very hard.

I think it makes sense goku would go into space to train so he can rival vegeta, but I think its a bit out of character for him to get so angry about it.

This is extremely interesting! I really think this will affect how the Battle of Gods Arc will be handled. Vegeta will likely be the one to get the Super Saiyan God ritual, that is IF Goku decides to comply with it. He's so much more unhinged in this universe and they will need to set aside their differences. Hopefully the two Saiyans will be able to do that in the Buu Arc before anything worse happens.

I think that there can be an interesting story that can work with this. So, in part 5, Majin Goku unleashes his energy immediately, turning into a super saiyan 3 with power that even shocks vegeta. Goku at this time remarks on how vegeta learned Instant Transmission and he did too, but he went further since he had many more years than him. He learned spirit control and many other hidden abilities from them, increasing his power to the point that vegeta himself had to go super saiyan 3. The two fight with Goku finally unleashing Majin Buu, but realizing his mistake in what had happened. He retorts, fights off the darkened magic on him, beating it. Now, with Goku having mastered spirit control. He would be able to hold super saiyan 3 just like super saiyan 1 or 2, with little to no effort, and him and vegeta in super saiyan 3 attack and beat Majin Buu. Vegeta depowers and is in a state of pure agony and being totally winded. Piccolo still kills babidi and then Vegeta starts to go into a fruitless rage, wondering how he got so strong. Goku begins to show a behavior and mindset like that of Vegeta from Namek onwards and sees himself as high and mighty, but I would have this resolved as Goku beginning to remember and become Kakarot, since spirit control puts the body back in order, meaning his body and soul are both flush with one another and making him pure. Goku would then, hopefully as a fun aspect of him now, get a split personality where there is Goku and Kakarot and either or can appear depending on the scene or a trigger of your own design. This, then, becomes when beerus would appear in the story

I say you did good at continuing this what if. I mean Majin Goku? I always thought that was hard to pull off in any what if but you did it masterfully. I have a suggestion have Goku winning then Vegeta gets desperate and uses SSJ 3 then Goku manages to buy himself enough time for Vegeta’s energy to drain with solar flare and other techniques. Then have Goku win and teaching Vegeta how far cheating got him. No need to have Goku go SSJ 3 in my opinion, also I know it’s probably your least fav form. Plz let me know if this idea is at least plausible, course understand if you can’t.

Considering (in at least the dub) Broly's canon form is described by paragus as "gaining the powers of an oozaru without turning into one", maybe the next stage for vegeta is ssj4? Or at least a new redesigned version. In some way it's a good evolution after super saiyan but the latest chapter really did flip the story tropes around. Usually vegeta comes in to save the day, gets beaten and goku arrives the last second to save everyone. The recent chapter Goku comes in to save the day with no vegeta mentioned at all. I wonder if Vegeta will save the day this time? It's almost as if vegeta is now the main character.

It’s better if you call it as majin Kakarot. With babidi’s ability to unlock potential and the toughness of majin form. I do believe majin Kakarot’s super saiyan 3 can last long enough to finish a battle. And maybe there can use the way that they master a full super saiyan, keep using super saiyan 3 all the time whether they are training or not. Maybe they can master super saiyan 3 by doing that, especially when dende can help them recover.

goku will most likely go SSJ3 having had the spirit control training only after he had ssj2 (my head cannon on why vegeta had such a hard time keeping up with goku during the cell arc and the buu arc is that he didnt have the spirit control and during super there wasnt a need for it as most power ups where transformation or absorbing god ki in base so after so basically vegeta was strugling to achieve the same transformation due to no spirit control but was always more powerfull while using it as he put more effort into reaching them).So with goku pushing to SSJ3 it will make vegeta to use the "worthless" transformation he didnt master against majin goku not only giving 100% of power to babadi to reviwe buu but also have an acually close fight with goku with netither of them knocking eachother out but fighting untill they both are down with vegeta beeing healed first then goku but vegeta hits him really hard right as he is healed to have him battle damaged if he is still beeing controlled.Both of them will have got zenkais and goku would slowly be getting a smaller 2nd zenkai as he recovers after he hears vegetas apology and proves he isnt controlled anymore buu would infact be much stronger here but so would be vegeta and goku.Gohan could help too but this could acually cause problems if they still get absorbed due to beeing careless and could make even SSJ3 fusion be barely enough to keep up with buu

Masako, I can't get enough of Vegeta, so I've been wondering about another Vegeta scenario. What if Vegeta came to Earth with Goku? I mean, major changes would have to happen right from the start for this. As far as I can think, the only reason for him to be sent with Goku is if King Vegeta is aware of Frieza's intentions, which creates a very different situation for the Sayan race. Vegeta is 5 years older than Goku, so they'd all know about Sayans right from the start. And, growing up together, their personalities would probably influence each other much more. And imagine how Grandpa Gohan and Master Kame's training could make him a different guy!

Majin Goku, who I agree would fit the name Kakorot, is basically something of a Dark Paladin. Goku is never really one for the traditional sense of justice and right and wrong, but he does have a very strong moral code he follows. One contrary to many people, but one he always holds to. You see it when he lets Freiza go full power, and gives Cell a sensu bean, and even in his initial distaste for the super saiyan god-form. It's rooted solidly in what he considers 'fair' battle, and fair strength. Babidi managed to turn his affront at the injustice into evil. This is gonna be awesome.
