They make it sound as if these machines are humans when he talk about empathy, consent and ethical ! They are a machine. If you think different go make love to an air compressor, same difference, it's a machine. I would think that the robot makers could install a device that would shut down the robots on the grounds of exploitation. You would have to send the robot in to power it back up and to check if you were doing something illegal, if so they ban you from ever getting another robot. Simple !!
The title makes no sense. It is not a "what if" but "once we can" because there is no chance we do not build them. And unless an AI develops consciousness it IS just an object, so you do not need to care about not treating it as one. There is no exploitation to that.
LOL. If robots get rights then its not a robot. I wouldn't waste money on a robot that has rights. The day robots have rights is the day your Car can lock you out, or take you to the police station. Ya. No thanks.
How ignorant!! Can a sex robot work for both sex groups? Can a sex robot hug, embrace, kiss, do different sex positions? Or are things so complex? Look what happened to humanity after women received some more freedoms. Divorce, gay & lesbian movement, abortion, transgender, etc... Things need to be fixed.
I think you underestimate science and technology, the reason why this thing exist in the first place is because w0men receive those freedumb to begin with, it them who need to fix themselves, I don't want to fix them. It waste of time.
