It's pronounced Hamelin, as in Pied Piper of Hamelin, hence their slogan in the first game being "follow us to fun!" referencing kids being made to follow the pied piper
@@Tonne1921 JT's song for this game also mentioned the pied piper, albeit in a more roundabout way. "Where the pipers are a-piping, only one of them is pied."
@@MarekPlacek-be3lp The Pied Piper of Hamelin leading kids away is a lot older than Game Theorist. It also explains the mouse/rat logo, and the secret tape saying they've existed for centuries, since Pied Piper of Hamelin is a middle ages story
This secret honestly really paints how corrupt this organization is in terms of not only forcing Sam to read a message against his will and lying to his daughter to trust these guys, but also showing what extent they are willing to go to achieve some secret goal related to the supernatural. What makes this even sadder is that Sam, and by extension, Rebecca, had no idea what they were in for by joining them. In the first game, Rebecca had to read the names of demons disguised as simple words repeatedly and there was a secret ending wherein we got to experience being part of the animations themselves as being meat hanging in the butcher's shop alongside what is presumed to be the missing victims that had mysteriously vanished while watching these tapes. All that matters is that in this third game, our objective is simple: bringing down Hameln once and for all.
I like how you can see amanda or rebecca I should say the reaction everytime to hameln showing that company really messed her up. Actually no beyond messed up that they connected this child to a demon.
I'm guessing the meatman is meant to be a surgeon who transferred Rebecca's soul into the tapes because of the "close your eyes, count down from ten." thing, when you're given anesthetic you're told to count backwards from ten. So I think the meatman was definitely someone even partially involved with transfering Rebecca's soul
I feel like in the climax of the series, Amanda will end up helping the player take down Hameln. Possibly after realizing what she had a hand in doing to kids who watched her show. Possibly after learning who that Possum was. Maybe with the character literally RIDING on top of the Wooly Monster while the Amanda one runs along side. Cause THAT would be cool. I have a feeling she will also make use of the various tapes we collected in each game. Like that agent's authorization code shown in that one tape with Sam held captive. Basically splicing the words for us to use. "Here are some options for the words, use them in the order you see fit:"
Amanda the adventurer is the only game that actually scares me.. with the reactions... You never know.. its so many secrets and you could randomly type something and she would give a creepy reaction and its terrifying.
I want to know what happens when you type Rebecca's real name in, i feel like surely that would have good responses during the "Who do you trust?" and/or "Who are you scared of?" parts
A few mysteries: 6:26 Whose soul is in the tape? It can't be Amanda's since she was in multiple tapes. This game doesn't use the same mechanic of rewinding time after the bad endings. Does this mean that only the "true ending" of the first game actually happened? Which means this game is the first time the player has seen the "Amanda Entity" In the fairy tale section, the characters most likely represent the following: Sam = Knight Hameln = Wizard Rebecca = Princess Amanda Entity = Dragon Could Rebecca's body be the Amanda Entity?
@@TheHappyCloverYT i know it sounds crazy, but there's a 7 letter answer for that tape. and suicide is 7 letters, plus the set up of "what do you do when you're feeling bad". I'm surprised no one else has caught it or tried it
To be fair it is a very old not very common name. I think last time it was used in any books was the story of the guy kidnapping children after not being paid
Hameln did not created this kid friendly show to learn, they created for abduction, sacrifices, experiments and most of all Cult rituals, that's my theory because remember that Matpat has retired and someone has to make this theory
Yes there's a few times where Amanda remembers Kate I think it would have been an interesting idea that Rebecca met Kate and they became friends when Sam was reading the books to the children at the library.
Oh God homelander versus the creature I think the only way to kill the creatures by destroying the tapes as long as the tape success the creature can exist homelander is fighting a never-ending battle
That’s not how you actually say it bc if you listen to the final audiotape in the true ending Joanne pronounces it “Hamelin” as if there was an imaginary I there
Question, if the contract has illegal acts on it and you sign it without knowing, can you still break it since Sam is trapped and I don’t even know if it’s legal.
