But there's ban cards in the anime. During battle city most direct damage cards are banned and during GX, Chaos Emperor Dragon is banned.

anyone remember that one guy, Seto Kaiba? Possibly the second most famous character in the anime's history? Who was famous for playing 3 blue eyes in the very first duel the show ever had? There was no rule in the anime that every card is limited. It just kinda seemed that way since the show's main purpose is to show off all their cool cards, and the best way to do that is engineer duels where only one copy is played, and you'd better have a good reason to play a second copy or else why not instead play a different card we can sell to recycle the first copy?

I don't even know how Magical Scientist works now (I think it still makes unbreakable boards even with Links), but back in Traditional Magical Scientist was hugely broken and made the most insane boards in YGO tbh. The FTKs weren't perfectly consistent (Exchange FTK was by far the best, but it was prone to disruption and sometimes the deck would just go PFLFP and die) though.

then go find someone like me who misses Traditional format back when it was supported by Konami. once they got rid of it, i notided alot of older sets stoped getting printed. back then i could find like 12-15 different sets all being sold and over a month watch boxes go away then be replaced with more of them. now its the same like 4-5 sets and thats it. - Danger!

if he's running an FTK deck its not going to have multinegates, and most FTK's struggle to actually do it going first as a result of consistency issues. I guess I would have to lab it out to see if the additional draw substantially raises the ability to FTK while not opening oneself up to the FTK. The biggest counter to these types of strategies are the hand trap that stops you from drawing cards but I'm not aware of a substantial enough negation board state that can get through 6 spells which basically read 'Draw a card', most of them reading draw 2 cards

Ehhh. Even if you take the need to sell cards out, the new cards have to at least be equally good, if not better. And by the nature of adding new mechanics or new things in general, you will have better cards or mechanics in a new set. So you will getbpowercreep over time just by nature.

Tinkerer Melon some of the deck combos that you find thru that format are amazing... I ended up making a ojama syncro deck that was so busted no one would play against it. Its whole thing was locking people down and the opponent couldent play any cards

it would not work in yugioh they would have to reprint way too many cards and with rotation only maybe 10 decks are available and only 5 viable right now yugioh always gives support cards for older decktypes in new booster packs like galaxy (5year old) or cyberdragons(10years old) plus giving us new archetypes and new staple cards reprinting would take way too much space in a set that aside I left ygo when link began for lets say 2years until link wont be something new and started playing pokemon tcg online and I love it even thought about buying some decks irl that i use onlind

TheTrueLeafless It will definitely never devolve into an FTK format format for long. Konami would not tolerate it. Only reason pendulum ftk is still here is because decks can beat it enough times, and even then its days are numbered.

TheTrueLeafless You are the first person to have the TRUE end all reason, as to why people stop enjoying the game. The Synchro mechanic was beautiful for the 3-4 years it had, but near the end od that era with cards like beelze that are unbreakable. Once XYZ mechanic was created combos became even easier to pull off. From about 2014 to now decks have been designed to be straight offense. There is no real player interaction. You just play your deck a certain type of way all the time.

No. I was pointing out that you were wrong. There is no "true" reason everyone quits. Everyone has their own reason for doing so. Some quit during tier 0 formats, since those formats suck. Some quit because of the constant meta shifts. Others quit because new summoning mechanics can end up invalidating their favorite decks. It's not because everything is uninteractive. That being said, you didn't even get it right. Handtraps and the like allow for interaction, and boards nowadays are not really truly unbreakable. Dracos are about gathering resources and using Master Peace as a strong boss, but they still have to protect him. There are cards that can run over him, after all(Borreload and Beelze), so they still have to interact. Pendulum Magicians have trouble with certain handtraps and floodgates that make their boards subpar, and can't always make a strong multi-negate board. They also have to work to break enemy boards in order to set one up. That's interaction. Even upcoming decks aren't aggro. Altergeist and Brandish are both efficient control decks. Both did very well in OCG where there were a number of FTK decks running around. Even some past formats prove this wrong, such as the Zoodiac format. That deck wasn't good because it beat you down. It was good because it could grind like crazy. Not to say that the format was a good one... Yugioh has its ups and downs, don't get me wrong. Spyral format was a mistake, and every once in a while we get a tier 0 format that's just the worst to play in. But it's not uninteractive, and more cards are being printed so that both players can have at least some form of back and forth.

IIRC Dark Worlds and Infernoids are significantly more viable in no banlist due to having dumb consistency cards and the ability to shit out powerful stun monsters (Onuncu makes Exterio, triple Felgrand in Dark World). But my experience comes from Traditional, which is _very_ similar but not identical.
