It’s so sad hearing from Gowasu that his opinions on befriending mortals is literally our opinion on the lower lifespan of dogs and cats. The pain is too much.
We are literally pets to the gods. Not in the way that they treat us like slaves but,in that they dont wanna get too attached because they live hundreds of times longer then us.And losing a loved one while u have to live way longer?Yeah. The pain IS too much.

SAME. I clicked on this video just to have some background noise, and I ended up stopping everything I was doing and listening intently to the entire thing.
Masako writing a DBZ what if is like someone writing a Doctor Who episode. Every time he makes one, after he does, he says "Welp. There goes that feature film forever."
Good Lord, the foreshadowing. Even back to when zamasu heals decraf, he mentioned something changed within him which resulted in a Kai's immortality and similar powers being reawakened. This is actually a very good story, I enjoyed this stories complexity and captivating nature. Nothing seemed to be wasted, and every detail had a purpose. Bravo

İ'll animate it after i learn the necesarry basics and fundementals of good animation, i am a self thought artist and i lack the skill and equipment to animate this masterpiece

I am curious though. Dumb question though, but do you remember when Kami in the original Dragon Ball asked kid goku to be guardian of earth? In the original, goku said no, but what if he accepted the request. I think the reason would be because Kami would give him the opportunity to go to the other world to do training, since Kami was able to travel between the living and the other world.
Yeah, that moment when Goku suddendly pops to be the "turist´s guide to Earth" was rather disconcerting... -> In the end it is TRUE that Universe 10 should had NOTHING to do with Universe 7.
1:04:30 "Alchemy, Plastic Surgery, Super Dragon Balls..." Now those are three things I never expected to hear in ONE sentence. Congrats Masako, you've just pioneered a new phrase.
One of my favorite What Ifs. I hope it eventually gets treatment like “R&R” and “Revelation F”, but’s it’s Decraf after becoming the G.O.D. Just going around with Kusu trying to fix the Universe. And thus, Shenanigans. Maybe even we’ll see Toppo and some references to THIS world’s version of the Tournament Of Power. I think I’d be cool.
yes, this story became one of if not the best from masako thanks to having a different protagonist and not clinging to the original story. Seeing the adventures of GOD dekrav would be most interesting.
Well it explain how defcraft was able to get along with zamasu and the confrontation against Goku Black and Immortal Zamasu is basically a case of Yin and Yang within Zamasu Ideals and confronting his former hatred and disgust for mortals with his new found virtue to better his own universe and protect it becoming a worthy Supreme Kai.
.*beerus whis and goku go to universe 10 to inquire about zamasu* Gowasu:"umm, about that lord beerus..I'm afraid you might not like what you see" Beerus:"oh I'm sure it'll be fi-*sees zamasu talking to himself in a back amd forth manner being both zamasu and dekrav at the same time talking about how he should be grateful to even be graced by his divine presence and then how he talks to himself in a gravelly voice about how he should train him* Beerus, with goku and whis behind him:"....." "Hakai"
@Doc K the only way whis happened because of Decraf. If Decraf is Zamasu then that means originally there was No Decraf. So how did the whole thing start? Originally this must have gone completely differently
This is literally the best what if Pure story telling and If only the canon starry had plot lines like this The fights would only make it better Amazing job masako !!
You always manage to find a way to make all these characters... ACTUALLY have a character with what little is given, and you tell these stories in a way that makes it all the more believable too. I actually choked at the end of this what-if and actually FELT something for Zamasu. Kid you not, I never thought I'd live to see the day- Kudos to you my guy. This easily became one of my favorite what-ifs~ I would like to animate this someday when I, as the kids say, "git gud" with my art in general~
Man.... I'm impressed. I expected nothing from this story, just put the video in the background while I was playing, but... Man... it was great, congratulations!
Masakox, this particular "what if" is worthy of novelization. I truly believe if you padded, polished and put pen to paper, that this story would gain the praise and purchase of so many outside of your subscribers. It's true art sir. This is the 4th time I've listened to the compilation.
I mean, he wouldn't be able to sell it cause it utilizes Dragon Ball characters and settings. But maybe if he took the basic plot and rewrote parts of it to make it legally distinct. Swap out Zamasu for just a young up and coming god, maybe in a world more similar to our own.
@PlayerZeroStart I mean, all you legit need to do is change names and appearances slightly. Decraf, and the Barbarians could just be lizard men... like Argonians, or any other example like them. And yes, like you said. Make Zamasu an up and coming God.
That ending, holy shit, that got me. That was brilliant, and neatly ties up everything. Incredible work, I would love to see this get an adaptation like R&R.
this entire time i thought the barbarian apparently turned G.OD (but not actually) was gonna unlock said form in the tournament of power but man what an amazing way to subvert blind expectations xD
Dekrav was Zamasu the whole time ;OOOO!! This was an amazing story Masako, keep up the amazing work! (And yes I rarely comment, but this was a true spectacle.)
@christmas8722 eh, not really. While yes Coptic Christianity and Orthodox where starting to break away from Catholicism at the time officially each branch recognized each other as the same church and only officially claimed it was a disagreement of leadership. It really wasn't until Protestantism about a thousand years later that a religious civil war truly began.
When you play on simulator games and you're army is accidently set on attack, You then watch an ad to get a supervisor so that they won't go full heretics
I've been watching your stories for a while now and I have seen your evolution. You started off as an interesting storyteller and have grown into a great one. Keep up the excellent work, Masako. Also, Team 4 Star for life!!!
what an absolutely stunning story. perfect ending 10/10 this was perfect. Toriyama took on Toyotaro as an artist for his stories but i wish he could see this magic and take on MasakoX for his storytelling. absolutely beautiful tale from beginning to end.
I would love to see this as an anime or comic. I love the fact that zamasu was reincarnated To give a second chance, instead of becoming a ki he became a destroyer. 😭😭😭( Happy tears) Thank you so very much for coming up with this What if.
I actually avoided this story for a while because I'm not to found of Zamasu but this what if is literally in my top 3. Like this was beautiful and the ending was magnificent 🙏🏾👌🏾
Before this, i hated zamasu but now I actually really love the way you took this and especially with the potential time loop at the end. Great job Masako I really love this
This is an entirely different genre and story compared to normal DBZ, but I am *absolutely* here for it. So emotional and such a character piece, I love it. I think it’s my favorite Dragon Ball what-if, period, and that twist at the end was such a great way to tie it all together and finish the story. :D
After watching this video and many other stories, i can just say that you are probably the best story teller of dbz Ive ever listened to. This 1 especially touched my heart in some cases. Keep up the good work masako.👍👍👍
...I never saw it coming. You sly dog. I don't have enough words to say how much I love this, so I'll just settle for these : Thank you. And keep it up, please.
Not only was this a great branching off of one of the rocky arcs in super, but it has such a satisfying progression and conclusion! Decraf may be one of your best what if characters you've written Masako, that ending brought a massive smile to my face!
For me the only good parts of dbs were gokus momentary rage at chi chi and gotens death, working the fields to provide money for his family(he was finally being a family man, and beerus came along and took him away)ssbkaioken x10 vs hit(personally, I think it would've been the best fight of the series if they used different music for it)ui sign goku(...it looks cool, okay?)and also, I think it mightve been better if they focused on super saiyan god more, it was only a form used for like one episode(and briefly vs dyspo and kale and caulifla)I mean come on, it's a new form, they should've focused on it more
I like to think the Trunks from Xenoverse is the time displaced Trunks. Mai is in the background somewhere I'm sure. Not a great answer, but it's better than Beerus and Whis just dumping them there like "Good luck, suckers."
Yeah, it seems like the most logical thing to surmise. I mean, characters in XV2 do acknowledge the Future Trunks saga as being part of his past as well as the Android saga.
Bro if zamasu did not have such a twisted view on the universe and mortals as a whole his potential not only as a warrior but as a supreme Kai was extraordinary and it's a shame that he put it to waste in the Canon timeline. Love this take on his what if story.
Listening again to the full story, I find this what if one of the best you have done. The ending is great yet bittersweet, it got me emotionally the first time.
If it feels like it’s difficult to get your angles or lighting correct, which is a problem for me, try to create a small action figure of the character that you can kind of manipulate and move around in the lighting of your choice. Some cheap, semi-hard clay can do wonders. Heck, if you can 3D model on a computer then that can be even faster for your comics! You can succeed or fail at things in your life. Trying is closer to failure than success. You can do this, you have the talent and now have direction. I’m rooting for you.
@@t.o.e.g.y.8602 You don’t need luck, just faith in the talent you wield. Don’t get cocky of course, but be confident and know your limitations by reaching them. Push yourself harder today than ever before, it’s the only way to be better than yesterday. In this comic directly, may I offer some specific advice? Comics are both visual and literary, so don’t just dump the characters in the panel and make the writing do all the work. Zamasu always comes across as haughty and arrogant to the point of a (somewhat justified) superiority complex. In panels, it might be best to draw him as if the reader is looking up - giving the impression of someone significant. Maybe most of the Barbarians can be shown from overhead or looking down at first, only leveling out when Zamasu finally sees his creation as worthy. He would, of course, look down at Goku and up to his Supreme Kai. Since the story is almost 90% from the eyes of Zamasu, it could help with the writing. Oh, one of my favorite things to do is show the difference between how a character imagines another character and how that character exists in their universe. Maybe the God of Destruction can be seen as larger or with a shorter snout/tusk when Zamasu is thinking of him, but the Supreme Kai might remember his friend fondly - with a sleeker physique or more regal. The reality sits somewhere between the two. The background of the characters could also show this by being colored via emotion rather than scenery. It’s a fun narrative tool that might help from time to time, saves words on the page and makes the art mean more than just being a way to know who is speaking - now the art has something to say as well. Take whatever advice helps, I just want you to reach your potential and floor us all with amazing work. You can doubt yourself for now, but soon you will have to choose whether to be the next great artist or just the guy who could have been great. Don’t be that second guy. Be great.
@@nicholashernandez4611 thank you for that... no on the level I never get advice like this, thank you really I appreciate it I'll be sure to make this the best comic ever
@@t.o.e.g.y.8602 All I ask is that you make the best comic you can, don’t limit yourself. We are all superheroes in some way, but become our biggest threat when we doubt ourselves. I love the idea that you can do it. You will truly live a life of purpose, the rest of us get a great line of comics and other art you can share with the world. Just remember to make it your best yet, and you will never let me or your future fans down. We believe in you, and maybe that’s all you need.
I wasn't expecting this to be near as interesting as it was, as always, even the most fanfiction sounding premises are always executed so well on this channel!
If kias aren’t supposed to become friends with mortal’s because of the pain of loss, why doesn’t that of for destroyers. Belmod and jiren, beerus and pan, hella and the fireballs. Then there’s angles becoming chummy with mortals.
Of all of the dragon ball what if's on youtube this is one of the few that I keep coming back to. The storytelling in this is masterful, with both original characters and novel interpretations of existing ones that are compelling in a way that isn't rivalled by many books, tv shows, and movies out there. Masako's other what if's are great, but this one is on another level entirely.
maybe zamasu can only befriend his supposedly reincarnated self... or maybe he has really ingrained himself into the mortal realm by ruling and teaching them as one of them. definitely an ending i had to think more about
Instead of zamasu sacrificing himself they could have just, you know, USED THE DRAGON BALLS, the things that could have easily fixed barbarous and revived gowasu
