Picking Poe for a stage where the whole point is to get to the end asap was so unintentionally funny xD

The popups at the start are to tell you that those things - your arcana, your passives, and all your weapons except your starter weapon - are being stripped off you.

One thing I would recommend now that you are more used to the game: Turn on hyper mode. Yes it makes the enemies move a bit faster, but it also makes YOU move way faster, and gives a substantial gold bonus. Moving faster also allows you to get to any stage items quicker too. I leave it on for every run now.

So at the end, the Yellow Sign is the symbol for Hastur (also know as The King In Yellow). It is one of the Old Gods from the Cthulhu mythos and is one seriously bad dude.

Odd, just a spoiler-free tip... The attractor orb is one of the most powerful leveling tools in the game. It is impossible to get all the gems, but with it you get significantly more, and faster. It will help you level even faster than the crown. If you get it, I'd recommend leveling it as fast as you can. I do it as my number one pick every time unless there are specific weapons/upgrades I need, then I get them just to make sure they are in the slots.

Wrong reasoning in picking up all the passives. You CAN do it, but it makes it harder to get weapons to level up. Better to just pick up up to 6 essential ones that help you level faster (crown, attractorb, tome,...), then get the rest later once you already have maxed (most) weapons.

It pains me that he didn't think to run to the green arrow on the screen

This map is so genius in its design. The items all being there in the four corners are such bait - you really don't want to get every single one at the start, because then your level ups are rolling on a table of like 20+ things. Makes it REALLY hard to max and evolve things when you quadruple the RNG. Even more so when you're on a 15 minute timer, with enemies that are apathetic and rolling past you. Personally I pick 2 or 3 things I know I want to try to evolve, grab those passives plus Curse and Might, then go to town farming. Get the rest after those are done!

I always wondered how odd could miss many obvious things on the edges of the screen, my theory was that he had some laser-focus and didn't see the whole screen, feels confirmed now when he didn't notice the mega-warped screen edges for a quite some time...

That was... Quite the trippy experience I wasn't expected in this game and also didn't know I would enjoy it that much, lol!!! I can only imagine how many other surprises this game has...

Personally, I was thinking it would be a good idea to banish the thing you most didn't want whenever you get a pop of things you don't really want for your goals. There is also extra benefit to finishing leveling an item since that removes it from the pool of possibilities, and when looking for something in particular, clover I guess is good, since that could lead to a fourth option. Fun content =]

I think people were wrong when they said pick up everything on the map immediately. Get what you want first and use the ones on the map as a bonus.(unless you *really* want the ones on the map I guess)

There is no evolution for Celestial Dusting, the Bone, or the Cherry Bomb. The 3 "mirror" characters just do not get evolutions for their weapons.

If you pick up all the stuff after you fill all your slots, then they get added on top of your current slots (they get added as if you had more slots), so you can get waaay more weapons buffs etc.

His first run in Moongalow he was afraid he could only carry 6 passives.. So he only picked up 6, so the comments told him its safe to pick them all up. As far as when you pick them all up? It really depends on how u wanna play this lvl.. Are you looking for specific weapons? Then yes maybe picking up only 6 passives at the start, then later grtting the rest after u lvled up your weapons you badly wanted. If u dont care what random weapons it gives you and your happy lvling whatever it gives you then its ok to grab em all at the start

I only played the bonus stage until I got it the first time... I never considered what characters would have been best, I just played my highest Golden Egg levelled character - but the Lightning Ring girl has a first level increase to attack frequency which should be pretty high teir there

Whoever said to pick up all items immediately was trolling...You pick weapons/utility items as you level, once you hit 6/6 cap then you can mass pickup stuff off the ground. If you pick up everything immediately you'll have hard time leveling the weapons.

Every stage has different timing when the evolution chests start dropping, but once it is on the ground, you can pick it up "after" you're elligable to upgrade a weapon. No need to pick it right away and risking random level-up.

Ooooo, THAT part. Yeah i remember getting that and oh man it was SOO TRIPPY. Not sure what triggers it though, but it can happen with ANY character. Just Run.

On Moongolow, the chests dropped from bosses that spawn before the 10th minute don't evolve weapons.

Ive never seen it before but it was obvious to ME that what you had to do was race right BEFORE you were killed by the mobs and spinny thing that was shooting you! Dont waste time fighting stuff- just get to the objective and dodge what you can on the way.

YOu can see now why you might not want to pick up every item; It bloats your upgrade pool and makes it harder to get the upgrades you really want.

A massive tip is if you're noticing that you're collecting a ton of XP and your items arent ready to be leveled yet just wait on picking chests up and snatch them when a weapon is ready. Sometimes patience is a value.

This game is freaking awesome

Shadow pinions + Sacro Vento whip... is that a good strat? One encourages you to stop and the other to keep moving... so they seem to kinda nerf each other.

Picking all the passives at once still makes you struggle through all of the choices in stead of mainly offering the upgrades you actually want. I know I'm just another rando with "good advice" but just think about it and don't listen to us too much

Love the series. it's been lots of fun watching you discover all the synergies and upgrades, I think the videos are great. But oh boy do I dislike the AI thumbnails. Perhaps it's just that RU-vid is showing us so many videos of AI bot generated this, that and the other, but at this point whenever I see these AI images I get the same feeling as whenever spam slips through my email filters and ends up in my inbox, a feeling of "oh no, what is this?". I'm sympathetic to the challenge of trying to generate an interesting and eye-catching thumbnail from the gameplay footage of this game, a lot of it is wonderful chaos that doesn't lend itself to great thumbnails. but I think it's unfortunate that my reaction when one of these videos show up in my home feed is a negative one on account of the thumbnail. I do really like the series, but It's taking more effort to make me want to click on the videos on account of the thumbnails being confusing and in a style that communicates spam or low-effort content. I find that it's a much easier sell on something like the Midnights Suns series where the thumbnails are really clear and the series has a consistent identity. It's totally possible that I could be the outlier in disliking the AI thumbnails, and I'd be curious if other people are also finding them more confusing and distracting than the series that have more bespoke thumbnails. Anyways, love the videos. Keep up the good work Odd. 🙂
