To everyone who doesn’t get it; there was so much going on because he was trying to show Americans how we’re so focus on Social Media and dance challenge and stuff like that we can’t see all of the pain and chaos going on not even around the world just in our backyard. Also, the killing of the people in church was about the church shootings that have happened in America. If you step back you’ll realize even though the video is confusing; the message is very powerful.

No Life, the pose Donald Glover made right before he shot the man with a bag over his head is akin to the Jim Crow laws, and the pants he wore are circa 1800's. Lots of deep meanings, including the dancing meant to distract you from the violence going on around in the background (did u see the man get thrown off the second floor?). Cell phones are a tool he says, which theyre used to capture unjust violence nowadays, since back in the day there were no cell phones and violence couldn't be captured, even though violence was still going on. Also, the dancing moves were part HipHop, part Zulu/South African. Notice the gun was handled with care and with a cloth, while the body was dragged away like it had no value.

agreed, as an Aussie, I picked the Zulu/South African or tribal style dancing as expression of culture, then mixed up with the apathy of those more interested in getting famous in TikTok than addressing a county's citizens massacring themselves. It's like everyone has lost connection. Sound of Silence would be a good connection to this song - adapted to be interpreted regarding our focus on mobile phones rather than each other. :)

Shaq there's alot of African influence in his dance and facial expressions that stem from African roots and the way the blacks were treated and portrayed by whites in America back in the day. Hey shaq, The reason he’s dancing so crazy is linked to how distracted we are by pop culture. If you look closely at the moves it relates to a lot of 20’s dance moves. That’s why the chaos going on in the background is discredited- because we are distracted by pop culture. There’s a lot of references in the background relating to the mistreatment of Black culture, male suicide, mass murder and the white horse is a symbol as well. Such a perfectly executed video. Took me 3 rewatches to see everything.
