I bought the 6-10 model today and paired it with a Shimano Curado bfs reel with 8lb. fluro with a 1/8oz underspin. I caught 3 fish on it and was instantly in love with the outfit.
I just found out about the whole BFS systems thing a couple months ago, I too am very excited about this trend. I have always felt uncomfortable with spinning gear ... the reel under the rod just feels wonky to me. I am currently running 4 BFS reels ... 2 are spooled up with 6# mono, 1 with 20# braid and a 8# mono leader and 1 with 10# mono. looking forward to discovering your rods. I've been throwing 1/16th & 1/10th Ned rigs (on the 6#) , and a 1/16th Texas rigged 4" Keitech Easy shiner & 1/4 oz spinnerbaits (on the 8#), tossing 1/8th & 1/4 oz finesse jigs on the 10# test. Tokyo rig will be my next experiment !!
I will be using one on Bassman Strikes Kayak Fishing for Smallmouth and Largemouth with a Kastking Zephyr. Have had the reel for awhile but no decent rod to use it with. Check the channel in the meantime!
But please get a budget reel before buying a expensive reel most people don't like this style of fishing Dark wolf ultra you can power fish with bfs it's just not finesse
