I can't even express just how refreshing it is to see a RU-vid video focusing on how frustrating it can be at times these days when suddenly, every hat under the sun is available to average Joe regarding music production. It's a wonderful time to be interested in music production, but the other end of that equation is rife with confusion and overwhelm at every turn. For me personally, the big headache has been trying to record a parallel amp modeler rig (Any 2 amp modelers being recorded simultaneously on 2 separate tracks) without the phase nightmare that's created from the 2 signals hitting the DAW at different times. This occurs because both amp modelers take a slightly different amount of time to process the signal, resulting in two slightly different latency values. I would love for someone to co e up with a fairly simple solution to this particular pain in my ass. I like to call it "The Phase Hemorrhage!!!".

I've felt this way for YEARS. I stared playing guitar about thirteen years ago, and since then the explosion of availability has, at times, crippled me. Looking back at the bands that inspire me, most of them had extremely limited access to gear, and even more limits on their knowledge of things as simple as signal chain, and 'correct' settings. Being a musician now takes a huge amount of self discipline to avoid The Spiral. God bless us all.

You shouldn’t have to ask for subscribers. Subscribers should be grabbing their guitar, running to your house and beg you to make more, more, more content. You are top tier. Edit: You’re one of the few channels that I will watch as many commercials as I can take to support your channel (without supporting your channel because I have no money).

Thank you so much! When I upload, RU-vid automatically places ads in the middle of the video and they had like 5 which is absolutely nuts over 14 minutes. Luckily you can remove most of them.

LOL ... all my purchases 1982 to 1990 were pure bliss until...the little grey DOD A/B-box :O My plan was to toggle between the hi and lo inputs on my amp, ending up with 2 identical low gain sounds ;D It became a paper weight until I sold it in 2000 since it didn't have a ground lift and also put a load on my signal

BOP video. I often find myself going basically "this but wild" route of using either very open souding ODs like the BD-2 or a Fuzz Face dimed and rolling the volume off.

I like this. I always like to have "more" available if I need it when I play with a band. Anything to scare my bandmates. lol

I really appreciate this. I'm trying to do things a little differently cause I think Guitar RU-vid needs a bit of a zjoosh and people seem to like the vids so I'll keep going then!

Oh wow I missed that release. That thing looks incredible. I was thinking about doing a video on filter pedals. It’s kinda still under appreciated, and as a synth guy too filters are MONEY.

Nice video! I love preamps too. I have 2 of them... Did you split the guitars into 2 channels?
@DannyUnderwood
@DannyUnderwood 2 месяца назад
Yes the 2nd and 3rd clips were double tracked. Which was the inspiration for the video. If you want the guitars to sound "big" you have to be careful with overpowering things.

Strymon Deco does a great tape saturation. My current pedal setup is a tuner and volume though. I haven't even thought about pedals in months. Maybe it's due to having the worlds best guitar and amp?
@DannyUnderwood
@DannyUnderwood 2 месяца назад
Deco is on my list. Strymon makes some great stuff... but common spill the beans on the guitar and amp! You're playing a Bc Rich through a Peavey Rage 158 right??!?!
