I looked for the other parts of the series, in the channel including lists. Did you decide not to go through with the series or should I keep my hopes up for the next episodes to be released? Or are they there but I couldn’t find them. I just jumped into the world of edtech working on PD of teachers specifically through a platform available for teachers and schools and your content is a great intro to education and what teachers want specifically, thank you
Hi ! It was wonderful going through your video and I must say I learnt lot from it .However, when you form a PLC for a Social Science teacher group are all the teachers teaching social sciences involved ? If so, how do they collaborate together as the grades which they teach in will not be of the same level ?Could you highlight on that as I’m quite confused.
They are typically all from the same content area when you’re teaching in the middle and high school. So all social studies teachers are together, math teachers together, science teachers together, etc. In elementary, it typically goes by grade-level teams: all first grade teachers together, all second grade teachers together, etc. I have another PLC video coming out soon :) Thanks for watching 😊
I am currently a student studying to be a teacher and found your video while doing research to understand PLCs better for my assignment. Identify four PLC members who should ensure that there is good financial accountability and governance in schools. Discuss their roles and responsibilities. This is a question I was asked and I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere. Could you help?
To be honest with you, this type of question does not help someone in your situation trying to study to be a teacher, which is unfortunate. They should be asking you about how a team of teachers should be assembled with roles and responsibilities. This question is designed for you to say the four people should be a person from district leadership, a school administrator, a teacher and a community member. Now is this feasible? Once you get to become a teacher you will understand that this is not reality. There is no real right technical answer here so make it up and provide some good arguments for each person. Good luck to you in your future teaching career.
Planning and organizing a teacher-sharing session for PLC to be a better educator is a great idea. It can be a rewarding experience that fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth among educators. ~Yiana Team Member at Kathleen Jasper LLC
