Finally a video done by a professional for professional purposes with clear structure, real life examples, and a guide through the jungle of project management. I have watched only 2 videos so far, and intend to watch all of them for educational purposes. My previous job required basically a similar endeavour with the planning in waves due to the complexity, duration, and constantly changing regulations. It is surprising how little appreciation youtubers pay to real professionals like the author of this video, and how much they are attracted by those clishes titles like "a life time of PMP in 25 min", or "PMP for idiots", or those trainers trying to teach us as we were idiots by oversimplification. Today, TED talks, toxic trend by the way, are leading the way. Nobody wants to learn the hard way, the real way. I do not underestimate the power of a good speech, but as professor Challenger said, a good hardworking scientist is worth a thousand popular speakers in terms of real value for humanity. Thank you for a good lesson.

WOW!! Thank you for the great feedback. I guess I am not a typical RU-vidr and I am not in this for fame. So, essentially, I am working because I am passionate about helping others navigate project management and not hate it, but instead find pleasure and gratification in it. Hope to keep you interested in more of my videos....Cheers!

I just started following this channel. I wonder if watching this video series counts towards educational PDUs? I plan on watching because it's geared towards practical application and not exam prep. Thanks!

For PDUs, you can claim self study from the PMBOK Guide (if you meant PMI PDUs)

@ProjectManagementVideos yes that's what I meant. So, studying the PMBOK counts towards pdu credit

Thanks a lot for such a great videos ... Rolling wave planning and progressive elaboration works on same technique right. I mean both are one and the same ?

They are almost the same. Rolling wave fine tunes estimates as we cross phases. Progressive elaboration details the estimates from the high level estimates we start with in the beginning of the project. Hope this helps.

@@ProjectManagementVideos would it be safe to say that this series would be sufficient not to be full project manager but at least get my foot in the door so I learn as I go in the actual position? Because I have the ability to change my position in the same company and the same field but i am interest in moving to the project management team
