I have been single selabate for almost 14 years I do a mum's job a dad's job a woman's job a man's job . I have been waiting for the lord to send me a good man . I made bad choices now I wait for God to choose me a mate. I work hard for my family live a simple basic life. I raise my boys in the lord . I still wait.

Oh my...This is an eye opener... I was a Proverbs 31 women and without realizing it. I allowed satan to infiltrate slowly in my life and destroy it. I think it's interesting that non-Christians see Christianity as demeaning to women. But this description is very empowering and a phenominal goal to achieve! Maybe they hear the passage, "submit to your husbands" and assume that Christian women are entrapped. But a proverbs 31 woman is independent, strong, wise, beautiful, and FREE. Everything that modern women want to be! They don't have to be a man to be strong! This is true feminism. And you don't necessarily HAVE to have a husband to be a proverbs 31 woman either. Just humble yourself and you will feel empowered through the Lord. Women now a days are so misguided. I'm so thankful to be surrounded by a Christian community.
@On TheEdge That is just your pride talking. you think you can arrange Gods creation better than he can. while you're at it tell lionessess to stop hunting and tell the male lions to stop protecting the pride at the risk of their own lives. And if you so choose, since you think your ways are better than Gods, refuse to submit to your husband, you become his protector and willingly give up your life for him and let him submit to your leadership. We are all called to serve one another in different ways. Even Jesus said he came to serve not to be served. but you're too good for that apparently. God is not forcing you to submit to your husband, he is telling you this is how nature works, but if you disagree feel free to do things your own way. be your own God and let us know how it turns out

Be patient and keep waiting and praying for the one. I have waited over 20 years. I finally gave it to God and relaxed. About 5 months I met him and we are soon to be Wed You both will know it without a doubt. God is wonderful and he does keep his promises.
She is beautiful with the beauty of The Lord. Holy, kind, loving, wise, and strong in Faith. Always hopeful for her family and her future. Loves her husband and respect him. Think about the family finances and inheritances for the children and act intelligently about it. Is hard working. She is Loyal and walks honorably before the Lord. Worships her God and loves Him with her whole heart. Knows how to say No. And still smiles. Cares for the needy. Is forgiving and merciful.

I believe proverbs 31 is not only describing a godly woman, but Christ's bride the true church. I believe there are some core principals in proverbs 31 that are also throughout the Word encouraging all believers such as fearing the Lord, extending help to the poor and needy, also being clothed in strength and dignity. We laugh without fear of the future because we trust in the Lord. Anyway, great post brother! Could you maybe elaborate a little on your thoughts of the proverbs 31 resembling the true church?
Great thoughts Haylee McBride. I don't think that point is explicit in the text but I don't see any reason we can't take the principles in proverbs 31 and apply them to the church. Some also believe that this text is referring to lady wisdom in general and not to actual females. Proverbs in general is all about principles and not promises or specifics.
I thank the Lord that He is moulding and refining me each day to be this Proverbs 31 woman... It's never easy, but God is all able through His mercy and grace... As we are of Christ, we become more like Him... I pray for Ephesians 5 husband...

A while back I struggled with guilt over being self employed and basically working while I was a wife and mother, but God kept nudging me to read Proverbs 31. Then I saw it with fresh eyes that this woman is industrious, entrepreneurial and makes the most of what she has from God in order to benefit her family, and it changed everything ❤

So tired of the "Instagram" women so prevalent today, even in church. You know, the kind who checks her Facebook incessantly, and posts selfies in between hymns. I would love to meet a Proverbs 31 woman. But, I know I am not at a place where such a woman would seriously consider me. I pray that God continues the work that He started in me, and continues to sanctify me.

This is another great video Mark however sadly most Christian men today aren't looking for Proverbs 31st women they're looking for a dime piece I think it's imperative that Christian women build themselves up and generate these qualities however they shouldn't think that if they've worked on all these qualities that they're going to get a good Christian husband. Proverbs 31 :22 is a good scripture to remind women that they need to take care of themselves and look their best also our cups as Christian women need to be full and when it runs over we can give that to other people but we have to strike a fine balance most Christian women sometimes are overworked in the congregation and it's very important that they don't give what they don't have that's not what God is teaching us. Sometimes I think Christian women are in a losing game but then I see how God's umbrella protects us from many things that could damage Us in this world.
