This tutorial series is a *goldmine* of information in an ocean of otherwise broken bits & complications. No other compilation on the internet even compares to this little gem. *Thanks a million, Maximilian!*
Max, you cannot know how much I appreciate your teaching style. Other teachers just assume way too much knowledge and skill from the student. You, on the the other hand, are a true teacher!
What Academind does so different from other RU-vid channels is how its introductory videos always answer a lot of unanswered questions. Watching the first video in each series is always enough for me. That's awesome. Keep it up!
We really try our best to not only do things but to really explain why we do the things a certain way. Therefore getting an awesome feedback like yours is simply amazing and means a lot to us. Thanks a lot Ibrahim :)
I love that you explain all the theory behind it. It's incredibly frustrating to follow tutorials that are basically just "now we do this and that" with no explanation. Like yeah, I understand why it works in that specific context but I won't know how to make something of my own at the end of it.
Thanks for that theoretical breakdown, I think it's really helpful for people who have practical experience of writing REST but still lack a whole picture of it.
@@academind Hi,i would request for a testing series based on this project,i have followed the whole of this project,i have the source code with me,i would like o follow it to learn about the software testing, other tutorials on testing are confusing coz they are starting from the middle and you get confused all together.
@@academind the way you put things in front of us is so awesome that we understand the concept so clearly you are like a successful movie director which also creates the suspense to watch what will be next and also gives an idea whats goin right now
i dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any help you can give me.
@Kingston Mateo I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Kingston Mateo WTF IT ACTUALLY WORKED :O Just got access to my IG account details after about 40 minutes of using the site. Had to pay 15$ but for sure worth it :) Thanks so much, you really help me out !
After searching through videos, forums, and documentation, this is finally starting to click. Thank you Max. By far the cleanest explanation I've found so far. Keep it up! Thank you!
Max, you are pure awesomeness! I am subscribed to your Vue course on Udemy and have followed many of your lessons on RU-vid. You are a truly gifted teacher and I really admire how much effort you put into the things you do
This video is just great - I was not even expecting such an informative introduction to Restful APIs in general I would already have been satisfied if you just talked about how to handle those in NodeJS but this is just great! You also give us the background information we need - thank you a lot!
past night I with my son and one of his friend....watched all your videos. We also did every single thing practically on our respective laptops. Awesome tutorials.
I'm super excited about this new series. I'm especially looking forwards to how you'll handle authentication and hopefully authorization (JWT's/localStorage?). Keep up the great work!
The most fulfilling 15 mins of the day... thanks Max... and can you please share your thoughts on why the development community these days is psyched about GraphhQL over REST
Thanks for your great feedback! GraphQL has an intuitive and powerful query language. But RESTful services are everywhere. I don't see GraphQL replacing it anytime soon - also because we don't always need such a structured query language
GraphQL is good if you have a server setup to handle it properly and your language can use it easily. I tried to implement GraphQL in Go-lang recently, and I wont be doing that again.. Its like taking a 15 step solution and adding in 60 more steps, and then requiring additional plugins/packages.
I can't wait! I'm trying to figure out which back-end you'll use...I hope you'll skip the boring-standard node/express/mongoDB. Anyway, good job and thanks
To be honest: I won't, it'll indeed just be that. Because I got no series on that yet and it's probably boring because it's popular and therefore one of the skills you should have ;). I won't rule out bonus/ further series on different tech stack but for this series, I'll take the boring route ;)
Great Video!! An intuitive and thorough deep view about what a RESTful Apis... I am experienced in making restapis...still came to know a lot from your videos!! Please make a RESTful API video using Node.js Express.js Mongodb and one with mysql if possible. Thanks again!!
Max, You are sent by the GOD himself. You are my THE FAVOURITE tutor. Honestly, Just because your videos I am learning other technologies which I don't need to, as your style of explanation is so good. I am a backend PHP, Python guy and hated JavaScript. But it is just because of you I got interested in it and loving it. You'll make a dead man understand. Keep the good work. Love from India.
Wow, I honestly want to thank you for your fantastic feedback Rajan! It honestly means a lot to me to read comments like yours, I'll do my best to keep up the work :)
Max, Thanks; you are making a lasting impact on us. I was given an assignment to work with sequelize and Postgresql, please, just a bonus, just do a video with sequelize and Postgresql instead of mongoose and mongodb. I just wish I will get that. But thanks for the wonderful work.
You are awesome dude i saw your shopping cart website in node it helps me to clear my doubts with passport as till now i am doing all authentication and autherisation myself, thank you love from india
Thank you so much Oston! I try my best to create videos that are interesting for you guys and although we are not millions, I'm really happy with the way the channel evolved thanks to all of you :)
Hey, I am new to node js or even web development, Can anyone tell me how we can build a middleware from scratch for apis? do we need middleware for apis? what is middleware? how to make one from scratch in nodejs
hey codework , i have joined an IT company but I have done engineering in Mechanical ,but I am really interested in learning how to make API as I have also got a project on API Can you please tell me what are the prerequisites that I should go through before building an API? PLEASE HELP ANYONE,i AM BEARING A LOT OF PRESSURE RIGHT NOW
Can you show strategies to implement user roles with token authentication. For example some users are admins, only admin can modify roles and edit users, some users are consumers of api and can only use end points if logged in. Or any suggestions to implement this?
Hi Cruz - if it's a project-related one, I unfortunately have to tell you that I don't offer any coaching or mentoring right now. So I won't be able to help, sorry. For business inquiries or something like that, you can use business@academind.com
Pretty basic but I decided to watch anyway and caught the reference to the API returning model links... good point.. without sounding snarky, it would be a good idea for this page too... like a link to the next vid in the series :-) I'll find it on the academind page but it would have been nicer here :-0)
Awesome to read that Wali, thank you. I actually do have a tutorial on React Native, but on Udemy, here is a link to the course, feel free to have a look: www.udemy.com/react-native-the-practical-guide/?couponCode=EARLY_BIRD_YT I'll also release a separate video about React Native next week, maybe this will also be interesting for you :)
