It seems strange that people want to categorize either themselves or others in some sort of niche. It scares me that someday people will start acting like caricatures or try to oversimplify the human condition to fit some sort of narrative. The human being is and should always be a complex and ever-changing entity.
Isnt it a self defeating statement? If we are so infinitely complex, that means we are also diverse, and have different niche areas. I can understand the language behind a sigma male. Sure it's cheezy and too general, but I'm such an atonomous person, most of my effort is to be free from most systems in place, so it all makes sense.
Nah, it fits some people, such as me, to a T as an accidental lifestyle. I would “label” myself as a “meditative person”. This sigma concept, aside from number 8, happens to describe me for the most part. Contrary to number 8 i just dont stick to one type of personality; in public i behave as myself either bubbly or silent, and in relation to the environment.
Sounds like a modernized Stoicism, something I've been attempting to follow for years. Failing in some aspects, while succeeding in others. Alpha, beta, or sigma, do as you wish. Live as you wish to live, but don't hold your own way of life over another.
That's me 100% because I don't see myself as a Sim or a chad I just see myself as me that's basically the premise of a sigma male somebody who is outside those labels🙏🏿
I think some guys would like to be aligned with a coveted or revered type group. But, their friends, coworkers and peers are usually better judges of which characteristics they portray outwardly. People's sense of self is usually higher in their minds than their true self much like their intelligence .
Perfect and 100% spot on. Alphas and betas are found in the consensus state of spiritual evolution. Sigmas form the individuated and spiritual stages. Everyone is following their own life script, learning and experiencing what they need to complete the journey into higher awareness. No judgment.
Sigma males don't say they are sigma males😅😅😅but I appreciate that realization ofc. I knew for a long time I am one but today just watching some videos on my fit just reinforced that
You might be an INTJ ( MBTI-indicator ), which could naturally evolve into the sigma once you get to know AND control more ( emotions ) about yourself.
If you allow yourself to be put in a box, you have already conditioned yourself. Instead, you should forget about these labels, and live your life to it's full potential.

Im a human lie detector. I notice eye movement hand placement tone of voice every out of place movement not natural to a comfortable human. I also account for the current setting/environment. So not to miss judge the situation i do this all with out thinking about it. Or meaning to. I will usually call them out. People dont like this. Im hardly ever wrong. Is this a ability or trait that is recognizable with sigma

I'd like to know where this research or study comes from... it's really uncanny how succinct these videos are with my thoughts and behaviors (for the most part). -- It brings peace to me having a "why" to feeling so included (in life), but at the same time, like the "odd man out" because you don't feel (at your core) you have anything in common with most people. -- People think they are your close friend because you accept them as they are, but all the while you know that you couldn't be further from the same (despite the genuine social courtesy you extend). After watching a sigma male Conan show clip I hit the RU-vid search for a definition of the term. I have all of the traits applied to a sigma male and *Meh* I feel no different now than I did moments ago lol.
For rule 13 um might actually live at home with family but don't get it twisted because you still pay bills and your fair share apart from doing other extra things that have value even if it wasn't paid for with money.
I have a lot of the traits of this video but kinda think it's silly to label yourself this way it means you in some way bugle under pressure from other people to be in some kind of box they can put you in. It's validation seeking and it's not healthy. It's easy to put pressure on yourself but sometimes harder to let go and compite against yourself instead of looking outward for validation. It takes practice but is worth it.
We’re the type to conceal carry but not have a need to shout about it. You don’t need to make people uncomfortable or intimidated with an open carry (a real punk “Alpha” move), but if something WERE to happen, you won’t be caught with your pants down and hopefully you can help yourself and the people around you.
WOW my boyfriend is a hard sigma male. Very self aware, starts risky businesses with the intention of getting rich but always does to much charity work. Doesn't conform to literally ANY social norms always has to be learning new trades, very socially abrasive 😂😂😂
This video romanticizes the term a bit. For example, I fit this description very well, but in addition to doing things that people admire, like starting several businesses and being able to fit in with diverse groups, or be charming and funny, and good in social settings, I'm a real loner. I'm considered weird or eccentric in many ways because I don't follow social norms and I don't care much what people think of me. I have zero fashion sense, I could care less. I have a few friends, but I'm alone most of the time and when people try and invite me out I almost always refuse. I just like to be alone and do my own thing. A lot of my personality would not be enviable to most people. It is not something to strive for. If you're not wired to be a loner who walks to the beat of your own drum, you would not want this lifestyle. And if I'm not purposefully decisive, I can overthink and ruminate a lot.
You should replace the term “Ambiguous morality” with “Non-Traditional Morality” We have a very strong moral code. There’s nothing ambiguous about it. However we are also very much non-judgemental for other peoples personal desires and lifestyle choices.
I actually understood why ambiguous was used... we tend to make judgements on the big picture rather than the singular focus of the action or occurrence. Thats to say, "because of xyz, I understand why this person made that decision" as opposed to "this person did xyz... that was wrong". A lot of people are very black and white to their approach to morality, where as for us, any given situation may be considered right or wrong in our eyes based on the factors involved. -- I say all that to say this... I don't disagree with your suggestion, but I understand why they used ambiguous. Just my 2 cents -- Respect to your comment ✊🏾

"Ambiguous" means open to more than one interpretation, which goes to your point, but I also see Mark Fennell's point that while our Morality or Code may be situational, it is not ambiguous. Each situation will be clearly defined in our heads. I personally would not have used "ambiguous". While we Sigmas might get it, I don't think other types would. We already feel misunderstood enough, don't we...? :)
@@madnessbydesign1415 I understand your point and I agree. However, my original statement was because the narrator is speaking from third person. From this vantage point "he" (or any onlookers for that matter) may consider our judgment "ambiguous" because of it's seeming duality. But to your point, WE understand how rigid our judgements actually are, and therefore non-traditional would be semantically more accurate (and palatable😊). In the end, I think it boils down to the "lense" that things are being viewed through, that would determine the semantics of our "judgment". -- But I agree, we are "misunderstood enough." Respect ✊🏾
I don't think "non-traditional" is the right descriptor as well. I think big picture and nuanced better describe it. Seeing shades of gray and understanding levels of right and wrong is more accurate.

As a Sigma, I was confused by your last point - ''They have the potential to become Alphas''. 'Potential'? I do not see becoming an Alpha as a step up. Quite the reverse.
Any self proclaimed alpha male is probably a beta male trying to be alpha. Unfortunately he is a bad judge and you are probably an omega male unless you are good looking, successful, get laid by hot chick's often and dress nice. Getting laid by hot chick's is a must to be Alpha or Sigma. No way around that.
Also.. there is no such thing as alpha beta sigma etc. It's psychologists who need to define subjects for the paperwork, and so they compartmentalise everyone . And then make you believe it to be the nature of categories .....
There are more of these men now a days from what I personally noticed. Well, especially around my area, and there's more of em where I work. I personally consider myself as more of a Zata male than a Sigma, but I fall in between those two spectrums.

There is a new type more rare that the sigma. The yoyo male. The yoyo male likes pizza, videogames, watch movies and also likes woman. Only the yoyo males that aren't gay likes females. The yoyo male also speak when he need to say something. Watch out! You could be one of those rarest men on earth. You may be a yoyo male. You just don't know it yet.
