This might be a silly question but why should Terry have to give up the abc documents? what if shes too busy or just doesnt care about helping out the lawyer. Does Terry really have to go out of her way to provide these documents?

So I got a subpoena today and it requires me to go to court over an incident that happened so long ago. I can't remember what happened hardly. I asked for the police to press charges on the man. Short story now I gotta go to the court and prove the charges against the man.

Hi, I have a processor that’s been knocking at my door asking for me, but I rarely am home. Am I in trouble? What could they possibly be coming to me for? Like what would the scenarios be for me to be getting a visit from a random dude that’s constantly knocking at my door asking for me? Would it be something I’m a witness for? Is there a chance that if I show up that I will be in trouble? He left me his card with the word subpoena behind it.

This is a dumb question but can a person who doesn't receive a subpoena but knows someone who does have one be arrested for the person who doesn't show up?

Why am I STILL required to go to court, if I was told that no further action is required? I got beat up by a homeless lady a couple of months ago. An Assistant State Attorney called me & asked me to tell her what happened, & she kept trying to convince me to continue with the charges when I was trying to drop them. She told me that no further action was needed. Then, last Monday an investigator, who didn't even initially introduce herself, hunted me down & found my exact hotel room, & gave me a subpoena for January 4, that says that if I don't call over the phone, then I'll have to go to jail for contempt of court. I don't know much about the law, & I'm disabled. Please give me some advice & help me out. I am losing sleep because of this.

I got confused subpoena is a person to be a witness or it's to ask also for the offender to show up to court? For instance a co-worker or co-workers harrassed and discriminated such and such employee and other people at work saw or did not see what happened. So the sbpoena is asking for the witness to show up to court, or will also ask for the ofenders to show up. Another example: "Hey Lisa, several co-workers received subpoena in your lawsuit, and they got pissed off and backed off, and I don't know their names". So I wonder if the subpoenas were sent to the good people whether saw or not the incident, or if the subpoena was sent to the offenders, my abusers. If they got pissed off, then they are the ofenders, why a witness would be pissed off? Unless this witness is the follower of the gang. If witness lies or skip information is to protect the offender. Never harm somebody, because it will be back to you, it could be your daughter, your son, your animal and you suffering the harm. Harm can be your hands, your body language, your dirty look, etc. You know when your harm somebody at work, outside, everywhere. Peace and wisdom!
