Oh! I have some good ones! Especially from when I teach color theory/symbolism! Purple dye is associated with royalty because it could originally only be obtained from a species of sea snail so only royalty (only WEALTHY royalty at that!) could afford it. There are actually still cultures that have no name for blue as its own color and only see it as a shade of green. However, the most recent of the basic colors we now recognize is "orange".
