Appreciate the video. I never really knew what actually went on, so for someone that's new to guns and shooting this was real helpful. If you wasn't raised around guns or this sort of stuff then just you just don't know what's going on.
We do our Turkey Shoots the same way, except we shoot off hand from a standing position. ( no bench rest ). And we are not allowed to use the post of the clubs lean-to to steady our shotguns. Our targets are at 30 yards. $5 a round. If you win that round, half of the money collected goes to you, the other half goes to the club. Club provides the shot-shells.
Great informational video, thank you, question is a standard 12 ga shot gun with a full choke an option, as I don’t have a specialty shotgun for this type of thing. Thanks again.
sammy foister It doesn't matter where you get the gun. But lots of times people have modified Guns for it. Plus if you don't know you shoot with shotguns in a turkey shoot and a shot gun won't go that far out.
IT matters dramatically. shooting a stock off the shelf 870 vs a purpose built barrel and choke system .yea every body gets lucky but the more shot you can put in a small area the better your chances of winning the $$ .
check out sumtoy customs , choke express, Ziggys custom gun .or look up possum bobs custom fabrication on facebook he made my barrel and its a money maker
I would like to use your target for a fundraiser for Team M.I.F to support disabled veterans. Is it possible to send me an electronic version for printing if it's okay with you? Sincere thanks
Seeing guns purpose built for something as simple as a turkey shoot makes me wonder if I even want to go to my local clubs turkey shoots when I went as a kid people just used their hunting guns but now it seems like if you don't have a few grand in a custom long barrel drilled and tapped choked up gun you don't have a chance
It's a sign of the times because you don't have that crowd anymore. I've hosted 4 stock only shoots and had a combined 3 people show up. I have to put on what makes money for my non-profit and that's these guys. They pay in every time the doors are open not questions asked.
@@EastTennesseeFishing oh absolutely... maybe it's not that competitive here in Pennsylvania or maybe it will be I just know that if I go pay 25 bucks for 12 rounds and see nothing but guns like those I'll not bother going back again... especially since I'll be taking an over under 12 GA and my girlfriend will be taking a 20 gauge pump in both in stock configuration...
Shotgun only, low powder load, it's our State Senator's home, nothing ever used other than shotguns and property is gated and locked other than club usage.
