What is an outcome?
An outcome is something you need to do as a result of your offending behaviour. This is decided at the family conference and agreed to by you.
Outcomes can be different for everyone, and sometimes, it depends on the offence.
An outcome can be that you agree to go to counselling, training or work in the community to help others.
It can also be more than one thing such as writing the Victim an apology letter and paying them money to make up for something you did and sometimes, you might be given what’s called a “Formal Caution”.
Whatever you’ve agreed to do in the family conference, it’s important you do what you’ve agreed to. Not only will this help make things right, but once you’ve completed the outcome, you won’t need to go to Court, and the case is finalised.
