What is Ankylosing Spondylitis?  

I had an anesthatist trying to get an epidural into my back 9 times before they decided to give me a general anastheatic to have a c section was undiagnosed at the time told to bend my knees to my chest and put my chin on my chest which was impossible. Had to say if you put that needle in my spine one more time and remove bone fragments I will have you done for assault. That baby is now 29 two years ago got my Ankylosing spondilits diagnosis and found two brain/spine tumours. 14 hour brain surgery and recovery was not fun when you cant talk and they try raise the bed and your on your side with the bed folding mid way up your spine. Also not having the rib/spine lung ex[pansion is an issue post op due to coughing to clear lungs. For years was told it was fibromalgia and miss diagnosed. NHS is failing to diagnose so many till its too late. I had symtoms with my ankles in my teens school shoes would swell my heals to the point the shoes no longer fit and would walk home in socks.
