I’m working as a 2d artist on Aottg 2 and they had to restart the entire project or it would be out sooner. Edit:the reason it was restarted is because of something in the code which made them restart I don’t know if I’m aloud to say that but I want people to know that it still is being worked on so people don’t give up hope
This video was so well done! I really needed a modern video about this game, and wow did this do a good job at contextualizing the (what I assumed to be nonexistent) community. I had no idea about the racing or the high damage scores. My fond memories of this game was playing with a bunch of friends and getting slaughtered. Felt like we were in the anime despite the graphics 😂😂. I hope in the sequel they make it more grueling, so that the pro dmg and racers can find the enjoyment me and my friends felt

I can vouch for the insanity of the damage grind, After breaking 3000 back when that was a big deal, there was just this itch I couldn't really satisfy. Once I had dedicated what was probably 1000s of hours to seeing big yellow numbers on a virtual screen the excitement started to fade and I realized it wasn't worth continuing to push towards the next "high" good to see the community is still alive tho S/O to TMJ, Eisenlocke, Niko, all of Jaegerbomb, Kor, and Legacy for the good times. It's a shame the high damage format for damage runs didn't take well tho would have been cool to see others try.

THE NOSTALGIA!!! I made so many friends and lots of enemies too within this game Some are still friends with me and we always look back on the good ol days of us going around challenging each other to see who could get highest damage I started using guns and was getting upward to 5k damage for the guns you have to go at double the speed for it to the same amount of damage as the swords meaning i was reaching up to 10k speed and still managing to hit them with the guns nad get high damage I miss this game.... I am in the discord for aottg 2 which is group of passionate fans who want to preserve the lifespan of aottg and improve upon what has already been made
There is another Mountain where people score as much as they can in a limited amount of time or kill as many as they can in limited amount of time in the forest and it is the racing before the actual Racing mode was introduced its like the medium mountain while high damage is the small mountain and Racing is mount everest

Damage? Racing? I don't know what you're talking about, I've been playing this game for nearly a decade and pretending I'm a member of the Survey Corps and killing as many titans before i die is still all I do. It makes me feel cool and epic. But yeah, high skill ceiling and stuff, recently figured out how to reliably beat the City 5050 challenge on Hard (That is, 50 titans, 50 titan fixed health, on city). Surpisingly difficult because of how cramped it is.
This game is extremely important to me. Everyone I know today in my social circle, friends that are no longer close and the one that still are, most of them come from this game, from the Brazillian Community from 2015 to 2020. Unfortunately the game seems dead and it's rare to see someone playing + I'll probably never see friends I couldn't save any contact form before I left the game

My favourite game ever made, the fastest time i ever had was 90 secs seeing people go 40 secs blew my fucking mind everytime i saw it. Its been years since ive played the game but that race clip u put in had my every hair stand on end.
I used to have a very old version of the game that did not even work for multiplayer, I looked up the game on youtube, saw this video, looked in the description, fucking finally a new version I can get. Watched the video out of respect.
