Being of Spanish/Jewish peoples, we do the same thing. Using teas and special waters fused with vitamins. Soups and dishes with a mix of fruits and veggies to cleanse the bowels and heal the body. We also do the massage of the stomach and lower colon to heal and shrink the uterus. Hot and cool packs for the breasts. This should be done for every woman who has a baby. What a miracle that we can produce a baby within us. WOW!
What teas and herbs do you use? There is little to no information. When I try finding some on this topic. Also none of the midwives that I’ve had this far and doctors would tell me anything about natural stuff. Even before delivery when I was asking what helps with having a natural labor what exercises would help? They said there aren’t any that they are all myths. I was struggling with my multiply with our first so bad that I wasn’t making enough milk they told me it was genetics and to start using formula. Well, long story short I found out my baby is allergic to formula because of the synthetic iron that’s in it and I came across legendary milk, supplements that increased my milk supply by 60 to 70%! Forever I’m grateful for legendary milk supplements.
I love this and really wish it became part of western culture as well. I read about this confinement concept in a book called “The first 40 Days” by Heng Ou 😍
How is it not? Literally just get married and stay close with your family. My husband will be doing all of this when I deliver in a few weeks. His mother will be helping, my own mother will be flying down to help. This is a normal thing. My friend‘s families all stepped in to help them. Their churches delivered food. This is in western culture, albeit slowly being degraded by the same shitlib people complaining in the comments here
I read that the water is not clean. If it is not drinkable it's not used for bathing, which makes sense. This is a good habit for all postpartum women. In America we do not honor the birthing process nearly enough. I gave birth naturally & was up & around in a few hours & gave complete care in 1 day. I made out fine but certainly baby & I would have benefited if I had more rest. ❤❤
