In the heart of Sin City, I did stray, To a timeshare pitch, on a fateful day. Club Wyndham Desert Grand, they sang, With promises sweet, like a harp's twang. "Sign here, lad," said the slick-tongued man, As I sipped my wisky, a wee dram. "Club Wyndham Access, a grand affair, Your Irish luck awaits you there!" I pondered, I did, with a puzzled frown, Should I say yes? Or should I back down? But the whiskey whispered, "Ah, sure, why not?" And I signed my fate, like a drunken sot. Now I'm bound by a contract, as tight as a snare, They took advantage, those slick salesmen rare. "Because you're Irish," they grinned, oh so sly, They danced a jig, while my hopes went awry. So here I am, stuck in this timeshare maze, Chasing rainbows, through a financial haze. But I'll raise a glass to my foolish spree, And curse that wisky and Club Wyndham, me!

You sing wisdom. I am a songwriter and my girlfriend got stuck into two timeshares this year (after owning other timeshares for many many years) and we're still regretting it.

I have been an owner since 1987. I love it. I inherited additional points from my father. Boy was it awkward getting the deed transfered and getting Wyndham on board! They assumed I bought the points in the re sale market. They have a difficulty recognizing purchases in the re sale market. I finally got it sorted out at a presentation meeting. It was very annoying!

Legacy owner of two contracts. I'm tempted to buy Worldmark resale, the smallest 5K contract to add optionality, and rent extra points when we want to use it abroad.

The best place to look for CWA contracts is Ebay. Search for "Club Wyndham Access" in real estate category.

It's hard for me to tell what value is with timeshares. I used to think a wyndham access deal like the one mentioned in the video - you pay nothing, seller pays all transfer fees is a great deal. Then I learned timeshare companies are refusing to let people "give" them back for nothing to the timeshare company. So maybe what appears to be a great deal isn't so great anymore.

Chances are if you get it for free you can give it away for free. Perhaps you need to pay the closing costs and transfer fees to give it away, but there is nothing saying you need to have the developer be willing to take it. I suspect you can also give it away and have the buyer pay all the fees.
