Great video. Since 2016 I've been unemployed and in CNC status, caretaker for my Mother. I want to get a job soon and will be paying her rent and car payments (both are paid off and in her name). It would just be an agreement between family members living under the same roof. I assumed I'll have to re-apply for CNC since I'll be going from unemployed to employed. How would I show documentation of those payments to my Mother and would they "count" in the eyes of the IRS for allowable expenses?
Glad it helped. Let me know if you need any help. You can reach me at 1877LEVYKING or schedule an appointment at www.legacytfp.as.me and I'll give you a call.
Just call the IRS, maybe due to Covid, there is zero “ red tape “, I called the IRS collections department and was put in the non collectible status for now .I had been on a payment plan. As of today. I am in the non collectible category. I was nit asked to provide a form.
Some people stay in CNC long enough to wait out the Collection Statute of Expirations Date (CSED). If thats the case you wont have to pay the debt once your come out of CNC. If thats not the case for you, once you come out of CNC you can re-apply for CNC again or you can enter into an Installment Agreement of an Offer in Compromise if you qualify.
