I just wanna point out the fact that deism isn't the god-belief without religion, because theism by itself was already the god-belief without religion. The only difference is that deism proposes an impersonal god. That's it. There are plenty of god-beliefs that aren't really religions, either. Theism, pantheism, panentheism, finite godism, and neo-theism.

The universe seems fine tuned for life because of its perfectly balanced physical constants. Therefore, one of two explanations is extremely likely to be true: 1) God purposefully created the universe, or 2) there are countless universes, and we live in this universe because this is the only universe in which we could evolve and survive. The former explanation seems more plausible to me than the latter. Not only that, but the belief in the Deistic God helps me to be just a little more moral and hopeful. If God exists, then there is likely to be life after death, and a great reward for being relatively good and a great penalty for being relatively evil. Also, I know from personal experience that God (or at least belief in God) can greatly help one overcome an addiction.
