Hello to everyone, I am Dr Berk Angün from Dunya IVF in Cyprus. Today, I would like to speak about egg donation treatment briefly. Nowadays, egg donation is available in a number of countries. Egg donation is the process of using donor eggs for women who can not produce own eggs. Donor eggs are fertilised with partner’s semen in the laboratory environment and the embryo created is transferred to the patient.
Each country has its own variation of egg donation laws, and we follow our own Ministry of Health regulations for egg donation treatment. These regulations dictate all the tests we have to perform both on the donor and the couple undergoing this treatment.
