I'm (finally!) back with a new video explaining what is electro swing, a (sub-)genre that combines the influence of vintage (or modern) swing and jazz mixed with house, hip hop, and EDM.
Hopefully I made it clear, understandable but, above all, fun! :)

Been a few years? My first musical memories are Big Band and Gene Autry debuting Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer on radio, but here I am learning what Electro Swing is, or was, and enjoying it immensely. My favorite catch-up-with-the-young genre so far has been discovering Primus and other alt-rock from the 90s.

I love swing and jazz (I do lindy hop...) as well as electronic music, but there is something very irritating to me in the combination. ElectroSwing takes the backbeat from Swing which destroys the whole vibe for me.

Art deco has always been one of my favorite artstyles, but authentic old jazz and swing is often hit or miss due to the changing times and interests between nearly a century of musical and cultural development. It makes me so glad that electro swing kicked off, because done right, it's those dreamy bright lights of new man-made wonders, coupled with just that perfect little modern twist, combined all to make it settle perfectly with the modern generation of music and listeners. Good stuff.

You must be fucking stupid to think this is underrated. It's so fucking overrated. The sound is oversaturated to the point that every song sounds the same. The beats are simple and emotionless. There is zero fucking emotion in this. All music is music but not all music deserves the title. Electro swing is an example of that. Anyone who fucking cares relate this to the swing genre deserves ten bullets in each of their ears.

Im addicted to these kinds of explanation videos but stay on for hours due to the long videos, you're videos are short yet deliver the message clearer than any other ive seen so far and are short enough to keep my usage of internet balanced. In other words thank you for these vids m8, love what you're doing and appreciate ya, keep up the good (and did i forget to mention fIRE 🔥 ) work.

Ali Dontini I agree. Couldn't have been a more perfect example of the very underrated genre. Alongside Caravan Palace, Swingrowers, Electric Swing Circus and even Caro Emerald are great examples of Electro Swing artists. My favourites are Swingrowers, Caravan Palace and Electric Swing Circus in that order.
