"Flange Mount" needs a cable routing hole in it like the Rode PSA1+, this was a big reason for my choosing it over some other options.

This reveal sounds like Elgato borrowed the Apple template of revealing a new product. No complaints, just interesting. Almost think it was intentional as a comical jab. And I do like my "freedom units". Looking forward to trying this arm out.

i'd love a mounting system that screws in from the top so it can work with my secret labs desk. atm i have to mount on the side of my desk instead of at the back where the cable tray is so in turn the screw mount doesn't fit in there -.-

To you. It’s expensive to you. Everyone who likes elgato knows it’s a premium cost. We’re ok with that. Innovation is expensive. If you don’t like the price then wait 8 months for the half price knockoff that is 73.6% as good. Quality and innovation comes at a cost.

@@Guillemod I’m not a hater. I love Elgato. I own and use a whole desk of their stuff. Most people would criticize me for being a fan boi. None of that, nor your comment, changes the fact that the writing for this presentation was awful and borderline insulting. Good companies take the praise and the criticism. I consider elgato a good company But when they moderate criticisms then I start to worry. As an actual customer I get to say that. And they “should” be listening. Because I will not be the only person who hates this video.

Have been using and loving the LP since it´s introduction, but especially the added gas spring arm makes this a viable update. Also very much appreciated is the now cleaner design with the cable chanels at the bottom, 3:18 screw / hinge caps and magnetic alan key. Are those additional parts like the hinge caps also compatible to the LP? Call me crazy but I am thinking about selling my LP and upgrading to the LP pro for the sleeker look :D
