There are two different types of essences. A first essence like the Missha, SK-II, and the Neogen that go before your toner. Regular essences are thicker and go after toning before serum. I'm not sure why she didn't explain this in the video.

I find it very sticky. I'm giving it a second chance and I am putting it on before bed and I have noticed it lightening my acne scars a little so far. I still feel like idk if I'm using it correctly with the rest of my skincare, but I do 2 pumps, let it dry, and do it again.
SK essence is my holy grail for my sensitive, dry and eczema prone skin. Definitely luxurious but one pat of SK can really heal my skin and often when my skin is freaking out, I use this SK in layers just to set a really nice base before my next steps. Wake up the next morning lookin like I just had a facial. Love this review!
For people who are wondering about the SK-II dupe Korean brand Missha essence, I am going to tell you the truth: NOT worth it! Save that 40 bucks for something else. I have bought and tried both SK-II and Missha essence for over a few months, even they made the packaging and product look the same, they are not the same. SK-II is magical and works so well with my face, it cured my acne and redness and make it look healthy and plumping, almost like I travelled back to teens lol On the other side, Missha essence did Nothing but hydrating for maybe 30 seconds, just like any toner does. I bought the Missha dupe because a few RU-vidrs have spoken highly of it, now I QUESTION do they really tested the product or just doing social marketing at viewers' cost. I also blame myself for being blindly convinced. Well, 40 bucks for a lesson, still worth it.

Has anyone tried the Secret Key - Starting Treatment Essence - Rose Edition, and if so, do you think it's a good dupe for the SKII? It contains 94% galactomyces ferment filtrate, niacinimide and rosewater, and I believe it only has about 9 ingredients. SKII is way too steep for my budget. I have been enjoying the Secret Key formula very much!
I love most of the essences mentioned. Especially the SK-II. I can’t really describe how it makes my skin feel other than baby soft and supple. I really want to try the Missha Time Revolution Essence and see if it is truly a dupe for SK-II.
I have been using SK II and it helped me with my hyper pigmentation as well as my frown lines 🥰. My husband started using it as well and he is noticing improvement in all his lines on forehead. It is such a wonderful essence we both love it. 😍

I'm on the third week of using the Naturium HA essence and Niacinamide serum and wow! what a powerhouse niac is. I used to have patchy dry skin on my u zone and no product could help until the essence. And the serum made my inflammatory acne go away! (My closed comedones are leaving too). My skin is smooth, finally, and my acne scars are fading. And that's only into the third week! Can't wait to order more. Now I just need help with hypopigmentation. Can someone help? I have white spots/circles on my face.
Elizabeth i’ll have to try the HA essence and niacinamide serum 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 i use the niacinamide gel cream 5% from naturium and it’s iconic! when it comes to your lack of pigmentation in certain areas, it might be beyond topical product choices. to clear that, look into laser treatments. if you have pigmented skin, look into microneedling treatments. both of these regenerate collagen and get rid of more problematic acne scaring.
@@lola.odetola yes they feel so nice and sink very well, no icky feeling. Ooh!, I might have to try the niac gel cream since it's a 2 in 1 combo. Ahh ok thank you so much! I'll definitely look into it. A dermatologist suggested CeraVe cream but it just didn't work and makes me look greasy. A otc supplement called Bedoyecta helped a LOT but it's more expensive to buy it monthly because it won't last long like a topical product does. Thanks again! 😊

I think scret key rose edition essence is very good too, very cheap and underrated, despite the name, there is no rose fragrance, its just the bottle caps that is rose colour 😂
Look for niacinamide! This ingredient helps with sebum/grease. It won’t stop your completely stop your sweating, but it works wonders for shininess/greasiness
@@joc6895 because it can help mattify one's skin. I'm with you in that it's not the best. However always have cost/benefit analysis in mind. Skincare, like all things, aren't always black and white.
I've heard that 'then I met you' essence is also amazing. I used skii and haven't found anything that can touch it. At 200.00 a bottle, I really wish the price would give a little. I completely understand the price tag though. I'll probably use it as long as they make it!!! I buy the 250ml, I think it's cheaper to buy the big mamma lol.

i think it's the Neogen Essence that’s breaking me out now, probably because of the “FERMENTED YEAST” which I’ve just learned is a food source for Malassezia (a fungi that’s naturally found in our skin surfaces) which is usually the cause of pimples. i’ll probably still keep using it in smaller amounts and maybe not on a daily basis :(
The Missha one is really good, but I am wondering if the CosRX one does the same. They made one essence with the exact same key ingredient as the SK-II!!!

The Neogen essence just didn’t do anything for my skin. 😕 I had such high hopes, but didn’t notice any hydrating or brightening results. i liked the Fresh Kombucha essence better
My faves are the cosrx snail essence, skinfood royal honey essence, and then i met you giving essence!! All are super hydrating (just at different price points).
Hi I actually bought a lot of naturium’s products The vitamin c serum, niacinamide, retinol cream and most recently the BHA 2% I live in Singapore where it’s really hot and humid. Can I use the BHA liquid in the morning with vitamin C and in the evening with retinol?
Im from sg too! I would recommend to use vitc in the morning, and BHA at night to avoid any kind of sensitivity from the sun or activities in the day. Not sure about retinol and bha in the same routine but it should be alright. As long as you give ur skin time to get used to the bha first, before adding retinol to ur routine bit by bit
Use BHA only at night to avoid extreme sensitivity to the sun during the day, but still wear sunscreen . Don't use twice per day, to avoid overexfoliation.
I love the Missha Time Revolution Treatment essence, however, I’m struggling to find the Missha Clear Toner online. Does anyone know of anywhere selling it? I live in Ireland, the best my skin has ever been was when I used these 2 products. xx
I stopped using the missha one and switched to secret key starting treatment essence but only the rose edition one. I found out on reddit the rose edition is better than the regular one
Has anyone tried to used SKII essence with Differin adapalene gel 0.1%? can the pair go together without irritating the skin and canceling each other’s effects?

There’s some nice spray bottles at Sally’s. I’ve seen estheticians put toners/essences in the little misters. Sometimes we have to just transfer products to pumps or spray bottles for convenient use

It really depends on the essence but unless you’re looking at a first essence- like the missha time revolution or one that is super thin, you’re going to find that toners help out with your ph much more, essence will come after your toner
Should I use a vitamin c serum and an essence? I bought both of your vitamin c serum and hyaluronic acid essence but I don't know if I need to use them both. If so, I'm assuming I would use a vitamin c afterwards?

I would just be sure you are using wonderful serums. At our age we want to prevent collagen loss and keep our skin tone looking beautiful and healthy. You would be so surprised at what using something natural like Apple Ciders Vinegar or Extra Virgin Olive Oil, can do to brighten and give us flawless skin. Just a thought. It could potentially aggravates the fungal acne. I tried galactomyces essence from Cosrx one time and got TONS of them. But weirdly enough, when I accidentally used Hyggee All In One Essence which contains lactobacillus (because I didn't even bother to do some research on the ingredients list), my skin was perfectly fine! (well hydrated and all that good stuffs).

Unrelated to essences, but I am LOVING the Naturium plant ceramide cream! Can’t wait to try the vitamin c too, but I’m still working through one I already have.
