@@codewithlarsy fydeOS is literally built on top of ChromiumOS, lmao. fydeOS is de-Googled, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's "better," especially for the needs of the average consumer. ChromeOS Flex is much easier to set up on old hardware, and ultimately more stable.

FydeOS is very good and OpenFyde is so freaking fast ! Its faster than the ultra lightest windows 10/11 builds and OpenFyde is faster than ChromeOS Flex ! The only problem is that after the latest update i can no longer run games , at least not those with 3d graphics , some 2d games can run.

Hello fydeos, can I ask why when I installed the Android kernel it just spins up and doesn't start? I tried reinstalling and waiting for about an hour but it didn't work. Is there any way to solve this problem?

This is literally just a de-googled version of ChromeOS Flex, just install any other Linux distro and you'll be met with the same (or even better) performance along with not having to sacrifice any functionality

FydeOS features an Android subsystem, distinguishing it from ChromeOS Flex. I doubt you'll find any other Linux distributions that rival FydeOS in terms of user-friendliness, aesthetic appeal, and seamless functionality right out of the box.

I'm concerned about sustainability, as this introduces so much overhead by using ever more electronics and networking resources. We are at the age of climate action, and this idea seems stuck in the old "business as usual" paradigm that ignores our finite resources, carbon emissions, and physical resource usage. Please make a study on balancing additional cloud/network resource usage vs. reusing old electronics, as I can't see if this really has a positive NET environmental impact.
