One addendum. I have a Ryzen 3200G with Vega 8 graphics. This uses 2Gb of my DDR4 system memory leaving 14Gb for everything else. Almost exactly the same performance as my old 750 ti 2Gb GDDR5 system.

Not details about GDDR only except apparently if you don't have a 4G GDDR6 you can't game? If thats the case then consoles will live forever.

r9 fury uses hbm and the vega uses hbm2. so it is in gaming cards though. but yes hbm is more suited towards workstation gpus

6x is mostly more bandwidth and higher optimized version of 6

Depends on the game, but usually a mix. Even in Rdr2 where I get 40-45fps on optimal settings (best looks for the best performance) even though I could be getting 60+ on low, but that would look bad to a point that I couldn’t enjoy playing the game anymore

It all depends on the game, but 6gb should be the minimum unless you’re only playing one game and are 100% sure you’re never gonna play anything that needs more VRAM than you have

@Legendized It always depends on the game. But what I can say for sure is that 6gb is definitely not future proof in any game at all except for 720p or 768p
