What is Ghost Cheese & why's it in the new Deltarune Patch? 

Snowgrave really does feel right out of a classic creepypasta, if you describe it right. "Yeah, my cousin's brother's roommate found a secret route in Deltarune where if you go through and force Noelle to kill every enemy, she starts losing her free will and then Spamton sells you a creepy ring to unlock an evil spell that kills berdley and he dies in the real world. Also Spamton turns into Spamton NEO and takes over the Queen's mansion while everyone is dead and Noelle leaves your party forever." All you're missing is at the end Spamton turns directly to the camera with hyperrealistic bloodshot eyes to threaten you.

Knowing Toby Fox, he is probably gonna keep the Ghost cheese and replace it with INVISIBLE GLASS TILE

This is the real reason we've had to wait so long for more chapters. Toby was just trying to patch the ghost cheese. Thank you Halfbread, now Chapters 3-5 are guaranteed to be right around the corner.

4:45 This explains what happened in my violent neutral route! About a year ago I decided to make a file where I was as violent as possible, but still technically neutral so I could see if there's any differences in future chapters. And during this run I decided to do an aborted weird route by doing all the steps and equipping the thorn ring, but then aborting it by ice shocking and hitting Berdly instead of snowgraving him. This did successfully abort the route and everything was the normal neutral route for the rest of the chapter and Berdly lived (albeit with a broken arm). Except what surprised me was one difference at the end of my run, when I went to visit Noelle in the light world hospital, I noticed that the blue bead was broken off of the waiting room toy, and that she was using iceshock in dragon blazers despite her dad's objections. I was weirded out, cause I thought I had aborted the snowgrave route, but even on this neutral route, I had the spooky cutscene where Noelle asked if it was all a dream and asked why I was wearing her watch. I think this means that even though I'm in a Neutral route, I'll be able to use snowgrave in future chapters. That, or it's an oversight. I've been wondering about this for months now. I can send a copy of my save file over or answer questions if anyone wants to try to find out more about this.

I keep saying, the way in which aborting the Weird route at Berdly works HAS to be intentionally made this way. If you spare Berdly or tell him that you're protecting Noelle before the battle, Noelle will comment on how Kris seemingly snapped out of whatever that was, and Snowgrave will disappear from her spell list. If you keep urging Noelle to proceed and then defeat Berdly with IceShock like you've been doing to every enemy so far, however, Noelle will not do her "Weird Route over" speech, and Snowgrave will stay in her list of spells. Given that Toby has spent so many patches trying to prevent us from encountering an enemy we can use Snowgrave on instead of just, y'know, removing the spell from her spell list, this has to be intentional, there's no way it isn't, and it makes me wonder what Toby has planned for such an occurance.

this now raises the question whether there's a Ghost/Mouse type monster that could eat the cheese poor mice, the "you can't eat this cheese" curse from Undertale persists

I always think that Toby knew about how powerful PK Freeze was in Earthbound and used it as inspiration for the Snowgrave route, I mean, PK Freeze can insta-kill enemies as well as Iceshock in Deltarune, in fact, Iceshock does similar damage as PK Freeze Alpha

I saw this pop up on my front page and I literally screamed because I got so excited over watching this. It was a video about a single cheese object from the game...and I enjoyed it. I think I know what Toby meant by "truck freak".

Was looking forward to your video about the "unused" death animation, also a fun an interesting detour about the cheese lol. Weird that the patch meant to prevent you from Snowgraving the maice and thus seeing the animation is still just a Steam beta and hasn't been pushed out as an actual update yet. It almost feels like Toby is still trying to make up his mind whether he wants to keep it as an "intended feature" or remove it.

As a programmer, I can only imagine the pressure that Toby Fox is going through with Deltarune. I mean, if I were to code an entire game myself and made a slight mistake like forgetting to despawn some cheese in a very specific scenario, and someone made a 69k views video dedicated about discussing and spotligthing that very specific error, trying to find a reason to "WHY WAS THIS LEFT BEHIND", for 9 minutes... Idk man, I'd feel very self-conscious about it

You shouldn't feel embarrassed about how you deal with code, and how you aren't a coder. Coders do pretty much exactly what you do, they scientific method their way through shit when there is a problem, and also very commonly spend extensive amounts of time on problems that are only easy to solve in hindsight. You did pretty good for someone who doesn't code.

By the way I know this video is a little old but I don’t think Toby plans for (or at least has coded for) Noelle to ever return to your party since giving her the Jevilstail causes it to respawn in Castle Town like it does if you lose it by throwing away the ball of junk. Either that or the Jevilstail (which, unlike the Devilsknife, is not stated to be Jevil himself) somehow exits Noelle’s inventory and flies back to the supply closet after sealing the Cyber World dark fountain.

Imagine if cancelling the route to keep the spell while keeping Noelle's trust is just what you need to get a secret alternate ending

Well, I'm not 100% sure but, a couple of years ago, while I was looking for clips of entry number seventeen, I stumbled upon a particularly saturated video, in the part where it says "very very interesting ..." (during the ...) in which I think I saw something in the background, it wasn't visible well, it was like a writing in the middle of the darkness (similar in some ways to the one in Deltarune chapter 2). unfortunately I'm not able to recover either the video or the screenshot I had taken :/. But I think it might be interesting to at least try to take a look at it.

Thanks for the videos, but I wanted to tell you some things I noticed/encountered while playing Undertale and Deltarune again. 1) I encountered a weird glitch mostly on Waterfall where the music wouldn't get to play in a room (once the Temmie Village music didn't play in the Temmie Village, and another time afted exiting the Temmie Village the theme of Waterfall didn't play until I exited the mushroom room puzzle) 2) If you get RGs 01 and 02's names yellow but waste your turn, they still attack. 3) If you lose to Mettaton's Jetpack stage during Hotland Mettaton keeps moving but doesn't shoot anything. 4) In Deltarune the King talks with the generic "voice" used on characters like the narrator in his boss fight.

it must have been that tobby coded for the cheese to be destroyed and place that block so you can interact with the cheese and not step over it, so in the weird route, he destroys all the cheese so the invisible block is placed cause the cheese was destroyed

Oh wow, you actually sent a bug report! Do you think he minds bug reports with decompiled code in it? I know that he has mentioned people who decompile his games through some remarks in Undertale and knows it will happen regardless, but do you think he ultimately minds or not? Probably just me being me. Also, great job so far on investigating undocumented decompiled code, especially without formal coding experience. With this experience, you can get a big of a boost if you ever do take up coding, I think. Thanks for the upload.

Something I don't see discussed is the fact that the ch. 1 characters color pallets are inverted when they enter the dark world. Kris turns blue, and purple shifts the rgb values for red and blue.
