What is Happening to Paper Mario?!

The Paper Mario series has been going strong with several different releases from Nintendo. The problem is Paper Mario is not hitting like it used to. The early games from Intelligent Systems were far better than the most recent Paper Mario games and fans around the world know it.
In this video I will go over what Paper Mario used to be like and what is causing the games to be bad nowadays. Mario has a new movie coming up in April therefore everything else needs to be perfect! The next Paper Mario game should be around the corner and if we aren't getting a rerelease of Thousand Year Door then we better see something new very similar to it.

It's impossible to really know for sure why Paper Mario changed. There's just too many things that could factor into how those kinds of decisions are made. As much as I would like to see Paper Mario return to form, I don't think it'll happen. It's been made pretty clear through interviews and the like that the team working on the series simply isn't interested in revisiting the older concepts.

At this point I gave up Paper Mario will return to its roots, specially when Kensuke Tanabe is around. I just want a final hurrah, a remaster of Paper Mario TTYD or Super Paper Mario.

This video is basically "first two games vs. modern PM" and gives no mention to Super Paper Mario, my personal favorite and one I 100% consider to be the final "classic" Paper Mario game. Its plot and characters, much like TTYD, is everything modern PM strives NOT to be at any cost.

This video is not yours haha. I actually did mention Super Paper Mario at the beginning at which you simply missed. Here I specifically mention the fan favorites and then games that fell flat. I've been noticing that games in the Mario Universe that doesn't have Mario as the main character tend to do more creative and more interesting things. WarioWare, Wario Land, DK Country, and Luigi's Mansion tend to have more memorable adventures and locations. The last time Mario did something absolutely fantastic was Super Mario Odyssey. That game had amazing locations, interesting races, and characters we would remember for years to come. Speaking of characters, why is Ollie and Olivia in Origami King when Intelligence Games said they can't add new and original characters or modify existing ones. Their presence is just frustrating when you think about. I am pretty sure this rule put by Nintendo is why we haven't seen Toadsworth since Mario and Luigi Dream all the way back in 2013.

If so, then you should for real try out the thousand year door! It's my #1 favorite game out of every console I've had (All of them since N64 generation and up, even xbox's and playstation's)

@@kenallenchannel3911 I've been waiting for this for ever as well but we cant know if it will ever happen or when, time is a precious and limited thing, might as well play it while you can :) wii can also read gamecube disks so you could get one as well as an option, or emulate on pc

@@Akko100 Not really, but I figured out that nothing could stop Sticker Star from turning out the way it did, especially after the results of a Club Nintendo survey taken regarding Super Paper Mario came in.

@@Akko100 They were specifically talking about Super Paper Mario, the third entry, not the series in general. That's the only entry you didn't mention once in the video (and btw I firmly consider it part of the golden era of the series, all my problems started with Sticker Star)
