Its called marketing so Discovery can get more subscribers, so many people appear in the Nasca lands to say any story without any clue of what its really going on there. The best is to go there and find out your own revelation not only from Nasca lines, if so from the whole region.
If you are going through an area with sharp rocks like shale, obsidian, or broken pottery it will cut through your shoe like butter. I imagine he is willing to risk a little destruction for not being maimed. Also this is his whole job, I doubt he is going to miss the important stuff to the point he steps on it very often.

To understand a little bit of the possible purpose of the lines and figures, you have to explore the whole region that involve part of the coast, mountains, ocean and perhaps the jungle on the other side of Peru. Before the Nasca lines, this civilization needed people, after food and water for the people and develope agricultural, farming and mining skills to study how to survive in such a huge region where is hot and dry almost all year, the underground aqueduct system they built all over the Nasca region is huge as unique even now that is THE ONLY SOURCE OF CLEAN WATER for the city of Nasca in nowadays (local governments don't improve it at all) and for farmers when drought appear after some time. The beaches near the desert is quite isolated and there aren't roads to get easy all over now but the Nasca civilization did and kept as a sacred place also, perhaps the same with the jungle from they were able to get fruits, feathers from birds of the jungles for their textiles and ornaments for special ceremonies as the monkey as a symbol of the Amazon kingdom in the famous figures in the desert as ceramics. The whole universe of Nasca civilization is quite unique and still we dont know much.

Big abandon cities under the lines. Count the fingers on the different animals. 5 fingers point to a star constellation of 5 stars, 7 fingers to a 7 star constellation and so on with 11 and 15 fingers. Of course the lines are not landing strips but was used for parking of stellar crafts. The Nascar lines was a portal and there is remains of big Underground cities here. (as in Giza). I’m going to have to watch the documentary. Based on this trailer, I disagree. That shell, and piece of pottery are too fresh. I hate the narrative of Indigenous people going to such feats only for religious purposes. These were highly intelligent humans that built these structures. This narrative of consistent prayer, sacrifice, altars, and worship has to stop. Maybe it was a restaurant. Maybe it was a nightclub. Maybe it was a market place. Stop discrediting our ancestors.
In fact they JUST discovered 400 acres of pyramids and ceremonial sites in Senchin, Anchas, Peru that dates 3 500 BC which is now OFFICIALLY the oldest ceremonial site in America beating Caral 3 000 BC & Bandurra 3 200 BC. I have always wondered HOW have these lines been preserved along centuries in a region of frequent earthquakes, but also despite winds....or even the scarce rains...? I undestood only the last designs discovered by a Japanese arqueologist who explains that the designs comes as the result of dark rocks removed from a depth enough for light-coloured rocks be visible and contrast with the dark ones. Yet... the others? how they have not been erased?

To me, its obvious... They are making offering to gods and try to be seen by them. When you fly in an airplane you see what gods would see. To me, thats what is beautiful about it : the religious art and architecture made in the western world (such as cathedrals in France ) has always been a reminder to subjects of the glory of god and their kings. These lines are really selfless, not made for the eyes of humans.
If you get on google earth and trace all the straight lines from Nazca to the other side of earth, they all converge on Ankor Wat in Cambodia. Maybe someone could explain that.
@@dnr2089 straight lines around the globe as viewed from the air... Many of the Nazca lines are perfectly straight over hills and valleys, sometimes for miles. If you continue those lines straight they will go all the way around the earth and meet with the beginning of that line. If you trace them on google earth, they all intersect on the opposite side of the globe. The only curve to follow is around the globe to the beginning of the line.
The geoglyphs of animals is simply a hello to the flying crafts of ancient Peru after the peruvians noticed the aliens carving the "monorail" lines on their plains.. The razor straight lines were created to help the anti-gravity flight stabilize because the earths gravity field isn't uniform and the minerals on ground effect their craft. That jerky motion is eliminated then when the craft homes in on the striaght lines . Maybe the lines were filled with a mineral that allowed for smooth flight of many craft at once?
in my opinion, it is computer-drawn on the ground with some anti-gravity beam ... something like a 3d printer, but drawing on the ground ... the ant is drawn with one line without tearing it off the board, I tried ... people from old times ........... maybe our civilization from before the deluge .... pyramids, various buildings, etc. also have a problem to locate in time (time 3:03 of the film duration .. ants in the film no can be seen, but you can check the photos on Google)

The ancient people who designed these "Nazca Lines" were a way to track the celestial night sky. They are terrestrial design's not ET design's. One exception being in the Peruvian Mountain region where carved in stone is the true value of Pi 3.144.
Whole earth is full of these marked places. Amazon forest is is full of those to. We can only speculate what is the meaning of this. My logic leans to wards some kind higher civilization marking the planet for some kind of landing sites or whatever...
bingo, there are some very good videos about the landmarks around the world that are 100% aligned w each other, and the nazca lines are evidence of that.

I think this lines were made near stone quary. Local people were labours, and upgraded society people use to come by aircraft, for perticular stones. This lines were made to understand perticular quary from above. This lines were bread and butter for local people, that's why they perform rituals in front of this lines.

I've watched a lot of shows about lines and my theory is that it has to be 365 characters. Each sign is for one day of the year and according to that sign the ritual was held. I assume that through the ritual they hallucinated the signs of the animals and recorded it on the ground. The Vikings would see the god Thor when they consumed the "Muhara", the Indians smoked the pipe and what this tribe used...
Of course, when archeologists have no idea what's going on, it must have been ritualistic. But carry on please, keep banbuzling us, walking around the enormous geoglyphs smashing pottery seems like the kind of thing a civilization capable of such achievements would do... 😅
The lines look like drawings of a child; a monkey, a spider; a flower, etc... It is a reflection of what a child admires most. Look at the focus of the mind drawing those pictures. It is an extraterrestrial child. We are not so different .

On the channel Ancient Americas there is an excellent video on the nazca people themselves and their culture. Better than 100 of these discovery shows. And it helps give an idea of what the lines were, rather than just endlessly calling them a mystery.
This is not news, it was known that the Nazca Indians had this religious ritual. But as you say, the Nazca lines were discovered in the era of the planes, they can be seen only from above. You cannot see them from the ground. Maybe there was another civilisation who made them for beings that could see them from above. The Nazca Indians used the place for their religious rituals only.
It is not art per se. These were used for navigation for trade due to scarcity of resources. They likely matched up to the night sky as a means to figure out where to go and they likely built them where traders and travelers were known to possibly get lost so they could figure out how to get to places or for resources. So they might line up like constellations during the time they were created. You are welcome grad students who want to do a research paper on this.
