so that second to last photo of the Dry Process (very dark fruit)--they must do another step to remove the dried fruit from the beans that are inside. Do they also do another process to get the reddish stuff off of the Honey process that's shown in that same photo on the right?
Yes, from that stage in the photo the dry process coffee goes through a hulling machine to remove the dried cherry. It's similar for the honey processed coffee. What you see in the photo is the dried parchment, which is removed during the hulling process.
@@SweetMariasCoffee this is amazing information. Before I roast ill pick out bad beans. Sometimes I'll find beans that are smooth and a lighter color. Is that the parchment or could they just be immature or something else. Thank you so very much. Also please suggest some videos on advanced roasting skills. I use an approx 200g metal cube over a gas camping stove. No thermometer, just sight and smell basically.
