This is the reason my marriage fell apart. Do you think that if I stand for my marriage through this and my ex-husband comes to recognize this, can we get back to each other? I really wish I would have found all of this information a few years ago. I have always known that he has a wounded inner child that needed to be nurtured. I keep telling myself that I didn't do enough to nurture him, but I now know it is not my fault. We both brought the 4 horsemen into our marriage over the years and it really affected us. I now know that all of this can be fixed, but the change has to start within each of us.
I have no problem with connection. I am married 4yrs to my bf of 12yrs. He never initiates sex. I feel totally trapped. I feel like if I had another way, I would choose that. My husband has addiction issues hes been on suboxone for over 10 years and smokes pot to go to sleep also dr gave him klonopin. I have alot of medical issues that he likes to blame for us not having sex but there is no intimacy at all with him. Hes not present and when I say this he says Im right here. He doesnt get what I mean. To me hes still using but he will argue with me on this. We sleep in seperate rooms and havent had sex in over a year
