What is ISO 12100? Where it is used?
This is Type-A International Standard
It provides designers an overall frame work and guidance for design of the machine.
It enable designers to construct machines that are safe for their intended use.
Concept of Safety considers whole life cycle of the machinery.
Guidance is given on the documentation and verification of the risk assessment and risk reduction process.
ISO 12100:2010 is also intended to be used as a basis for the preparation of type-B or type-C safety standards.
