You can use gyro on ps4 controller, works awesome

I agree, Project cars 1 & 2 & F1 series were ok on controller but ACC is miles above on controller playability once you fine tweak the settings. *PS4 player

Great to hear.. been on the fence with this game.. PCars 1 I really enjoyed using the controller, PC2 was terrible to me and I did not like the original Assetto neither seemed to work well with a controller.

Takes some getting used to forsure but after u get it it feels natural

Idk why on Pc2 it's hard, I mean it's only easy for me with few cars especially the Audi R8 LMS and one of Mercedes

GTS is the gold standard for sure

Yeah, gts is great, it's playable but has to be improved on steering

@@Post_grad I haven't really played it for a while tbh. I was getting better, building a decent pace up, and then my controller randomly started steering me off the track, like I was suddenly turning left for a second. I'm not sure it was the controller at fault though, because it didn't do anything weird on other games. The big update came out and it seemed fine after that, but I was slow and needed to figure out setups again. So I need to practise before the Green Hell arrives 😂

I imagine steer assist is disabled? This setup takes too long for the wheels to center after letting go of the thumbstick on sharp corners causing an over correction. It’s not nimble enough. Personally Ive found this setup works best for me: Deadzone: 0 Speed sensitivity: 50% Steer filter: 98% Steer speed: 50% Steer gamma: 4.0 Steer assist: enabled

@@Vixen1525 My settings are Rumble Intensity: 100 Effects Type: Enhanced Deadzone: 0 Speed Sens: 15 Steering filter: 85 Steering Speed: 100 Steer Gamma: 4.0 Steering Assist Disabled Explanation: *Effects Type* Effects type seems to effect the force feedback on the controller a little bit. I can't specify, but I think it might focus more on certain forces or something? It might also put certain forces on certain side of the controllers, like if your left tires are on curbs, you can feel it on the left side of your controller. But I cannot be sure. Test it for yourself. *Speed Sens* Due to Speed Sens being determined from your speed, it doesn't allow you to use your whole steering, so the faster you go (lets say on a straight) you cannot use your max steering angle. It's good if you are prone to using 100 stick left or right a lot, but if you don't, turn it down as much as you can so that it doesn't get you killed on a straight when someone is in front of your and you have to make evasive maneuvers. *Steering filter* It is hard to explain what steering filter is. But essentially, steering filter is kind of like a artificial force feedback that you can see on the steering wheel of your car. The less you have on steering filter, the more wheel don't react to the road surface, so when you go to zero percent, you don't see the steering wheel move at all, unless you move your joystick. I keep this at 85, as I cannot tell what is going on with the car only with the view of the road and the car, but also the wheel gives good information, as most people know, a great way to know what the car is doing is through the wheel, but as we don't have wheels cause we are playing on a controller, our best option is to take inference form the wheel by looking at it. But don't forget to look ahead too boys, cause you might be losing some time. *Steering Speed* Steering speed should be a 100 percent at all times, if you put it at a relatively low percentage, you would figure out that chicanes become harder to do as your steering is not instant, and catching slides would be impossible because you are too slow to react. You can try with 90 percent on some tracks if you want some more precision, but mainly stay away from going any lower. *Steer Gamma* Steering gamma is like steering assist. I would avoid as much as possible, as the more steering assist you have, the less control you have over your car, and it becomes unpredictable, you can try playing with it yourself, I think it can gain you some advantages like mid corner in a race if you are struggling to keep the car in a certain position on the track. But, all in all, be your own man, and don't let the AI take over your seat. *Steering Assist* Same reason for why to not have steering gamma. But I also forgot to mention on steering gamma, that it is also harder to save slides with steering gamma on, but it is also made harder if you have steering assist on. Notes to take away: - Speed sense should be lowered as much as possible to give as much control at higher speeds. If you are struggling on certain high speed corners, for example: The fast right hander at Nürburgring. You can turn up the speed sens for that track. But, it is better to minimize the setting and be able to move your joystick in small movements - Steering filter is like a suspension visualizer. Keep it as high as you can where you can understand how the car is acting. But if you keep it too high, the car might act a little like a boat and you will not have that much control over it. - Steering speed should be at 100 percent at all times to allow you to do chicanes and not make the car feel unresponsive. - Steer Gamma should be put at the highest value so that the AI don't intervene with your driving, it can make you lose control of the car easily and make it hard to catch slides (this is the same for steering assist) - Try tuning these settings to your car, your controller, your needs, your track, etc.

I made the steering with stick so controlled that I can actually visualize how my steering is by looking at the steering wheel I also recommend googling for a decent controller setup. If the wheel is jerking around you have too erratic steering with the controller.

@@1988Carlsberg If you don't tweak the controller settings, clearly is unplayable....come on, it's the very first thing you need to do: controller adjustment.

I started doing it about a year ago and once you get past the strangeness of it, it makes a massive difference

Deadzone 5% Speed Sensitivity 30% Steer Filter 25% (Go Higher if your Heavy). Steer Speed 35% Steer Gamma 2.5 Steer Assist (Enabled) 🙂👍👍 Xbox One X

Your R2 gas button is likely wearing out? To test that theory, try switching gas and brake buttons and see if you can hit 100% (I ran into this issue on PS4)

terrible1fi thanks for suggestions, but I don’t want steering assistance on, it’s like it’s fighting every input, the computer is basically driving. I will test these setting with it off though! But I’m not sure I’ll keep the game it’s very unplayable with controller.
