Being from MP, I got to say it is very well researched. Buerocracy and corruption are major hurdle to industrialization. State needs to work a lot on that front. Central govt also ignores MP in all infrastructure projects and circumvents it.
I am also from M. P, development only came because of central government scheme otherwise both BJP AND CONGRESS are corrupt and non performing, no hope as of now.
The local Malwa perspective is that Pindaris were raiders and hooligans and it was Marathas who ruined the MP trade and economy, just like they ruined Bengal and paved the way for the British. And now, a quarter century of massively corrupt BJP rule is devastating any chances MP might have to get rid of crippling poverty.
I'm studying in bhopal. The only development you can observe is near bhopal-indore belt. State needs industries and service, MP is what Punjab was in 2000-05.

I am a bonded Doctor from MP, haven't received my salary since April (and 1000 other drs) due to no budget. It hurts to see ladli behnas getting all the money and we hard working people are not provided with our salaries. Also corruption in govt offices is very very high which disheartens me. I am from mp, and I would say a big reason for why MP is so behind in development is lack of education, state board of mp is probably one of the worst if not the worst education boards in India, i am currently in 12th grade and in mp board, from my experience, i would say that 70-80% of all mp board schools dont even have a playground, and I live in bhopal which is the capital of mp, imagine the condition of schools in rural mp. 🙂

I am from singrauli of MP, and the problems you have mentioned in your video is very true for my district also. For an example just search for NH39, the NH under development from last 12 years and even now no progress due to corruption among government, bureaucrats and contractors. There is no medical or engineering colleges here though. 😢

Being from Indore, I can say a well researched video. The main issue I have observed is, it's only because of the negligence of Eastern side of MP, there are really good natural resources available, but government is taking advantage and not investing in that part. They are mainly focused on Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur to some extent.

But it's important to bring industries, especially manufacturing, to sustain this growth. MP, being landlocked is another issue but doesn't mean development is not possible. The Central government neglects Madhya Pradesh. If someone intends to travel from Delhi to Mumbai, they are more likely to choose the Rajasthan-Gujarat route due to the poor condition of highways here in MP. Moreover, the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) passes through Rajasthan and Gujarat, further marginalizing MP. I reside in Guna (M.P), and the connectivity from here to anywhere is very poor. For instance, if you want to travel to Rajasthan, there are no buses available, not even a single one. The only option is to take a train. Recently, I wanted to go to Delhi, and there were only 2 trains available from here per week, which we have to pre-book 2 months in advance. The state's infrastructure urgently needs improvement to elevate it to a more prosperous status.
There was time when Pushpak from MPSRTC buses used to ply and it was better. Then Diggi raja mismanaged that. Afterwards Shivraj never considered the need for a reliable state transport which can keep private operators in check. All other states like UP, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajsthan have their own state transports.

Every govt needs to prioritize industrialization for growth. When states like Maharashtra and Odissa are investing in Biotech and manufacturing, investments by govt of MP are close to zero.

Exactly, central connectivity just on map, on ground no proper road, rail or air connecrivity with other states or for that matter even cities like Indore is not connected to other cities in MP properly.

The railways is absolutely shambolic, no train connectivity whatsoever. Roads are decent but the drivers and quality of traffic is the single worst across india. i have been to 20+ states and driven there but no state has worse drivers than mp, even people in cars dont use indicators while taking a turn and the bike riders are 99% uneducated chappris regardless of their bike's standard. only good thing is airport, which is not affordable for like 90% the population.

I'm from Chhattisgarh(CG) region and the division from previous MP state was a crucial point for the long cultural movement of Chhattisgarhiyas....CG region was in far more better condition than remaining MP when compared for social indicators but this large and mineral rich peice of land was considered remote due to its distance from capital. This region was always neglected by MP administration in development perspective also...
I am from Gwalior, MP, currently living in Pune and I can tell the current situation here, the state overall needs enormous amount of development, the rural area is extremely underdeveloped and even the most district areas lack in good infrastructure, health care, quality education and employment. Except the Indore metropolitan region, rest of the MP is still 30-40 years back then the rest of the India. Government kisi ki bhi aaye, kaam koi nahi karta, we don't need BJP Or Congress here, we need revolutionary politicians who can work without self interest for the actual betterment of state and it's suffering people.

I am from MP the condition of health and education is worst that one can witness .The government has completely failed in attracting investment in manufacturing and service sector thereby putting good chunk of population in unemployment and poverty .The growth of agriculture sector is not enough as very few people hold substantial land that would not benefit people from lower strata .Hence there is an urgent to focus on industrial development and growth in service sector .

Being from mp trust me its not that bad as it sounds. Most of us are in comfort just not touching the benchmarks others has set. If you have travelled in trains for up bihar you know how jam packed they are and people sleep anywhere in it seen this condition in all over india but not that bad for mp.compare to up bihar. Now the thing is agricultural sector has only improved in last two decades. But we often forget one main reason we are developing at slow pace and it is the largest forests cover by a state we are no. 1. And have big tribal population which cant be removed because of laws and deforestation is not that easy here can be done in other state easily but not here. An industrial corridor was proposed in mp which can boost economy of central eastern districts of mp but it was passing through forests so it is diverted to central already established highways which has already seen damage. No other big state have two big mountain range in middle of it like vidhyachal and satpura range pass through mp not like western or easten ghats passing from side of state, instead these two central range made it hard to damage it and form industries here. Yet we are mostly good not having natural disasters, hot temperature, border issue, immigration, riots, yeap we have many issues but we are developing at slow pace atleast we are not building another delhi and mumbai we are slow but with proper development nahi toh bana do delhi sab tabha karke ,.laga do.logo.ko.mumbai ki tarah dakke mukki ki zindagi me or yeap.we need to free from.corruption these local authorities always eat the money for the development of cities but yeah middle-class family is paying less electricity bill if use under the unit.,. One of the problem with we people of MP is that we are satsified with the fact that atleast our state is now having roads and electricity.. Whenever BJP do any show they start saying that how digvijay era was not having electricity ...How many times they will keep saying same ? Mp hasn’t changed from old days still focused on agriculture , and for industries it went from 3 cities to 1 every inch of industrialisation is going towards Indore solely . Apart from that other then bhopal indore jabalpur gwalior , rest of the cities are still extremely undeveloped , because no funding and projects are provided to them , even so something’s get passed on paper work takes 5-10 years in smaller cities to complete . Even tho it’s getting better in every aspects , still long way to go probably like 20 more years to become a sarv gun sampann state
I am from MP, and there is a lack of facilities in sports. No tournaments are held in MP, and this state does not support sports properly. There are many players who do not have opportunities, and there are no state representative teams in the ISL, IPL, and PKL leagues.

I have appreciated your work since long, but I don't think you have done justice to this topic. Jabalpur was a very important city before independence, but you haven't even mentioned it. The narrative today is that Indore and Bhopal are the only developed cities of MP, because they got political advantage of the development that took place after 2000, but if you look just 30 years back, this wasn't the case. You have completely ignored the contribution of Jabalpur and whole Eastern MP, like what the politicians are doing nowadays. Before independence, Jabalpur was the biggest city of present-day Madhya Pradesh, even bigger than Indore, Bhopal and Raipur. Jabalpur was decided to be the capital of MP, but politics played it's course and we all know what happened next. It has 3 army factories, was one of the first central region city to have railway connectivity, and it was a very important center of independence struggle, but you have focused only on history of western MP. At least you should have also included Gondwana Kingdom and Rani Durgavati and the history of area near Jabalpur.
Sir, i am from Maihar, MP. I can ratify that whatever data you presented in the video is clearly visible on the ground too. There are still villages here which don't have access to roads. For irrigation, the govt is developing cannels but I know that there are such cannels which were build and then it was realized that the Mountain-range in the mid way can't be tunneled through and the project was abandoned after spending so much money. The development you witness is just concentrated in one particular region and specifically one particular city named Indore, that's it!! Areas such as Mahakaushal, Bundelkhand, Chambal and Baghelkhand are severely marginalized. Maihar is in Baghelkhand and we here look at how UP is growing and are craving for more industrial complex but have been totally sidelined. Here people think that dividing the state and making a separate Vindhya Pradesh will be good but the root problem is that the Leader is just so obsessed with Indore that all the investments, if any at all go to that region. We too want IT, Manufacturing industries in the state so that the youth of the state is not forced to travel to other states like Maharashtra and Karnataka. Most of the people have a mentality that if they face any serious health concerns, they immediately run towards Nagpur!! This must change. We need big multi-specialty hospitals which can treat patients reliably. I still remain hopeful after I was read the election manifesto of the current party in power in the state. They said that they will construct the Vindhya Expressway and Metro in Jabalpur. Although I was disappointed to know that the central govt too by-passed the state completely while planning the East-West DFC. I also want to thank here that the central government had completed the electrification which is a good thing but we need more of infra in rail and road and of course we need industrialization and tourism!! I am from MP first of all thanks for making this video, almost the entire nation ignores out states they just assume that we are very backward people and only tribals and dacoits live here. The education system sucks in madhya pradesh, i did my schooling from a cbse school but the condition of MP board is really bad, i saw their 12th class exam paper and they're asked who invented light bulb in a 5 mark question, who is President and prime minister etc. If a person can score 50% in CBSE he can score 90+ in state board. The teachers dont come to classes, the english teacher dont know the meaning and pronunciation of the words she is teaching. And in my village majorty of the kids complete their education even some are graduates and then they work in medical shops as labour. I did my college from RGPV Bhopal and i must say that sucks too we dont have to go to college, exams are complete fraud if teacher is on good mood he will give you marks for doing nothing and if he isn't in the mood they wont give you any marks no matter how well you perform. since they get money based on number of sheets they check they just check them really fast to increase their income. And lastly my father is a farmer and conditions of farmers is really bad govt doesn't give any good price for the crops and same goes with business owners. My dad invested 60K in cotton farming and earned 55K only and from that too we have to pay the labours and the all our hardwork goes into vain.
AS a villagers i must say that BJP has worked a lot in agriculture sector although corruption would be there in a democracy but after modiji it improved a lot and till today i never heard about farmer suicide from last 5 years and i see BJP can lead us out of bimaru category and as development we don t have a port or an international border or a city where development is prosperous like delhi or bombay and as we were far back from states like maharashtra punjab or karnataka we will have a slow growth rate until youths lurking for govt jobs only they should focus on things like buissiness
What bjp had done in m.p. in last 4 terms is phenomenal mainly first 10 years, in congress rule befor 2003 their were severe power outage , communal riots and poverty but situation have drastically improved sure Shivraj singh Chauhan was the hero and is respected till today mainly after diggi raj but as we say in democracy there is no permanent hero❤ , and now we need new c.m , but surely not from congress.
I am from Rewa MP, i am watching construction of water canel form past 8-10 years but it is still under construction. Same as in road construction Contractors take money from government but never do any type of work. Corruption is main culprit here

Voters are so brainwashed into choosing freebies given by parties. Incumbents need to give freebies as opponents want to promise anything to get into power. Indians (rich, middle class, poor) want free stuff. Religion, Reservations, regionalism, language supremacy etc rule the public discourse these days . Politicians know this fact and want to divert populace from their non performance . India is becoming more messy than developed. Youth has to decide what they want for this Country. But who cares, so we suffer. The video is a slap on our faces as we are responsible for it. But hey, who is giving extra quota? But my language is my identity? But my religion is the best? all points are accurate and being from MP i want to add one point as well, there are VERY FEW employment oppurtunities for youngsters apart from National level entrance/recruitment exams. This state is worst in providing vacancies for students and mark the word when i say it. 20 yrs from now you will mp flooded with unemployment
