I don't think King Dedede is the main antagonist in this game, it may instead be another possessed King Dedede, this time being possessed by the Beast Pack, since the Beast Pack not only captured the waddle dees, but they may have also eventually captured their leader first, which is King Dedede, so the Beast Pack would trick Kirby and his allies into thinking that King Dedede is the mastermind of this plot only to reveal the actual main villain (it's unknown if its gonna be Elfilin) which may be more tyrannical than any member of the Beast Back.
