Used to make shorter, low-budget videos. Hopefully have moved onto higher production video essays, but who knows. Tend to put a lot on my plate, and have never had enough time to finish it.

What happened to cuddle in plaza that's so SAD i was imagining what was the color One maybe the color was you pressing the beat a lot of Times and then it would turn into a big cuddle And for the plasm i thought it would fly whatever pattern it's like the beam butt but it stops time
I don't agree with Spark, mainly because I personally found it annoying to wiggle the control stick around, but I see that its design is quite cool, and the plasma shield just straight up invalidates smaller enemies as obstacles in the game. I definitely appreciate that you give Ninja the praise it deserves for its incredible DPS. Most rankings I see label it as a weak ability, while in my experience, it is so responsive, fast, and high damaging on its best attacks, that it ends up melting through most bosses in the arenas. Something I legitimately don't understand is why everyone puts fighter so high. In my experience, while it has decent damage, its best attacks will launch Kirby directiy towards enemies, usually resulting in taking damage yourself. In the short clip you include of using the ability, you almost die from just using it on a bunch of small enemies. It is too high risk for me to actually find it useful, so is there something big I am missing?
Yeah yeah so - I think with Fighter it just comes down to how fun and enjoyable it is to use despite the risk, which may sound incredibly basic but that's how I've always felt about it. Even when using Fighter in the older GBA-DS Kirby games feels a little sluggish at times, and even puts you at risk of getting damaged like you mentioned. Using Fighter against sub-bosses in those earlier titles feels like such a disadvantage at times too lol. I guess it's up to preference if you're willing to use a Copy Ability that dishes out good damage, while simultaneously putting you at the constant risk of health loss... kinda similar to Hammer in a way I guess?
Despite being younger and having mk7 as one of my favorites, I also had smk on virtual console and that is my favorite. SMK's theme is the acctual best (probably) despite what others say... (they even reused it)
I did grow up with wave race i still listen to the soundtrack to this day, i am 37 years old i love the soundtrack it is soo smooth and catchy my favorite is Drakes Lake
When looking at magalor soul in the true arena, I think I see it as once the new phase start there’s no trace of magalor left all that remains is dark matter given how all that remains of its face is the center eye
So, imma send my predicts right here. Before that I explain 1 perticular thing, being that I wont include tracks from WiiU/NS in it. The Reason why I wont include these is simple, they are already perfect in the way they are and I dont see any point from them to be changed in a new way. I mean they are already in a perfect graphical stand, unlike other courses from previous gens wich lack of up to date graphics. Including WiiU/NS tracks would therefore be very filler. Also I will include Retro Tracks, that were already remaked. Since the BCP had the chance to finish of the entirety of MK with remaking every retro track and didnt, because of including tracks that were already remaked. I thing this pattern will cover the next MK aswell. I see WiiU/NS tracks coming back in the MK after MK9 tho. Shell Cup: DS: Figure 8 Circuit SNES: Vanilla Lake 2 N64: Koopa Troopa Beach 3DS: Shy Guy Bazaar Banana Cup: GCN: Mushroom City GBA: Yoshi Desert Wii: Toad's Factory 3DS: Wuhu Loop Leaf Cup: N64: Frappé Snowland GBA: Lakeside Park DS: Delfino Square GCN: Wario Colosseum Lightning Cup: Wii: Dry Dry Ruins GBA: Luigi Circuit 3DS: Maka Wuhu N64: Bowser's Castle Bullet Bill Cup: 3DS: Mario Circuit GBA: Broken Pier GCN: Dino Dino Jungle DS: Airship Fortress Blue Shell Cup: N64: Wario Stadium DS: DK Pass Wii: Bowser's Castle GCN: Rainbow Road
Kirby Return to Dream Land was my first Kirby game, and will always be my favorite Kirby game, but now I must prefer it's remake, wnich improves on so many things
Funnily enough I found the volcano HAL room by myself on my very first playthrough of the game. I didn't even know it wasn't in the original, nor did I expect it to work, but the 3DS games have conditioned me to stand still and count to 86 every time I'm in a small, enclosed area with a door in the centre in a Kirby game, and eventually I just got lucky
This might be my favourite game of all time, just finished another play through beating expert mode. The way you hit the waves keeps the game from getting stale to me.
I've been thinking about this game for a long time. I think it's the best N64 game, by far. And there's nothing like it on PS1 or Saturn. Funnily enough it actually reminds me a lot to Sega games.
I did have this game as a kid in the late 90s. It was pretty great at the time. I live in the Midwest but was always drawn to warmer climates and summer so this was my kinda game, along with some other racers like Cruising series. Tho as soon as I got a PlayStation I was pretty absorbed in that, with Jet moto and others. Wave Race def had a special effect on me, and I remember wishing to play Blue Storm for years even tho I knew it wasn't as good as the first lol. Never had a GameCube tho (dunno when if ever I had a Wii til adulthood either) Fun retrospective vid man! Wild that you just played it now for the first time haha
There would probably only be 2-3 of them and they'll receive a graphical overhaul and possibly changes to make use of the new gimmick or even add half pipes.
I even have the tracks listed up as well. You should also do one for the battle tracks. With counting the race tracks from Tour that haven't returned are: Piranha Plant Pipeline, and all 10 of the RMX tracks. Thus another 11 have been missed.
I feel like we are at a point where they should give the Retro Tracks from Mario Kart DS another chance to really shine - its been about 20 years once the next MK comes out after all. A proper remake of GBA Luigi Circuit or N64 Banshee Boardwalk (my brain still tries to call it Boowalk sometimes lmao) would really be nice and both tracks in HD could work really well, especially Banshee Boardwalk if they keep the underwater stuff (like GBA Boo Lake). Otherwise...yeah Wii Toads Factory is a lock if they stay with the current formular for sure and N64 Wario Stadium too (though I would rather see Wario Colosseum or Shipyard from the remaining Wario tracks first but oh well..)
Great recap! I personally think it's likely we'll see some DS/Wii Retros get a second shot, but who knows, this series has become pretty unpredictable in the Tour era! I do wonder if they'll stick to the standard 4 Retro Cups going forward though, especially following 8's 3 DLC campaigns.
What I’d choose for Mario Kart 9 Retro Tracks Mario Kart 9 Retro Tracks Shell Cup SNES Koopa Beach 1 3DS Daisy Hills Wii U Cloudtop Cruise Wii Toads Factory Banana Cup Wii Luigi Circuit Wii U Shy Guy Falls GBA Yoshi Desert N64 Wario Stadium Leaf Cup GCN Mushroom City SNES Mario Circuit 4 Wii U Toad Harbour 3DS Wuhu Loop Lightning Cup 3DS Maka Wuhu Wii U Sunshine Airport Wii Bowser Castle DS Rainbow Road Possible DLC Wii U Electrodome GCN Wario Colossuem 3DS Mario Circuit Wii Dry Dry Ruins GBA Lakeside Park DS Bowsers Castle GBA Rainbow Road
The one that needs to return the most is toads factory. Personally I think track is one of the best of Mario kart Wii and it’s a shame it never saw the light of day beyond it.
