In this video let us understand Lithium-ion capacitor or hybrid supercapacitor. Hybrid capacitor combines the best features of EDLC supercapacitor and Lithium-ion battery.
Li-Ion capacitors are effectively a combination of the two technologies. Li-ion capacitors use one electrostatic electrode and one electrochemical electrode.
Inside a Li ion capacitor, the Cathode is made of activated carbon as in EDLC (electrical double layer capacitor) together with the battery type Anode made of a graphite material doped with lithium ions.
