in this video we will study about all mainly used logic gates and see how different different logic Gate works and also see truth table with them so friends let's start
friends before starting logic Gate we have to understand analogue and digital because logic Gate works on Digital circuit if we don't know the meaning of digital then we will not understand the Logic Gate.
first of all we will see analogue signal :
in electronic circuit signal means voltage or current if the value of voltage in circuit is continuously changing then it is known as analogue signal
Whereas in digital signal the value does not change continuously its either low or high
today in the world all computing devices are digital whereas is almost all sensors are analogue. some sensor seems to digital but these sensors have internal analogue to digital converter
Now here digital signal means we have only two options Low and High, which can also written in form of 0 and 1. To understand this clearly we take a circuit which have two Input and circuit works on 5 volts.
if we give 5 volt input then this means we are giving one and we can also written this as 'H' so friends let see what is logic Gate.
logic gate is a electronic circuit which have one or more than one input but having only one output here input and output both are digital.
Lets we see, How many types of logic Gate are
there are mainly six types of logic gates.
1. Or Gate
2. And Gate
3. Not Gate
4. Nor Gate
5. Nand Gate
6. XOR Gate
Or Gate :
First of all we will see OR gate. Symbol of OR Gate looks like this....
now here we have two input A and B and output is C
Here C = A+B
let's see the truth table
here input are A and B and output is C their are total Four combinations
0,0
0,1
1,0
1,1
Here C is A+ B
now here
0+0 equal to 0
0+1 equal to 1
1+0 equal to 1 and
1+1 is not equal to 2 because this is digital signal and here output can be only 0 and 1 so here output is also '1'

AND Gate :
Here Number 2 is And Gate
its symbol is look like this
Here output C = A cross B
we can also say A dot B
there are also four combinations of truth table
0,0
0,1
1,0
1,1
here output is
0,0 = 0
0,1 = 0
1,0 = 0
1,1 = 1
Not Gate :
now see Not Gate
not gate is a gate where input is only One
Here Output is equal to A bar
that means reverse of A
If input is 0 then output is 1
and
If input is 1 then output in 0
NOR Gate :
Now we see NOR gate
NOR Gate symbol is same as OR Gate there is a small circle at output side, which means give the output of OR Gate to the input of NOT Gate
Whose symbol is a + b bar
To understand its truth table we will going to take the truth table of OR Gate, and we will reverse the output
Nand Gate :
After that in NAND Gate the same process is done.Give the output of AND Gate to the input of NOT Gate
Here output is A.B bar
to understand this we will write AND Gate As it Is and reverse it's output.
XOR Gate :
So friends lets We See, XOR Gate, the symbol of XOR gate is......
But XOR gate is formed by combination AND Gate and OR Gate
Here Output is equal to A xor B
For XOR Gate A circle is drawn over Plus Sign.
and its is equal to A.B(Bar) + A(Bar).B
If input is 0 0 or 1 1 then we get output 0
if input is 0 1 or 1 0 then we get output 1
So friends these are the basic of logic gates, but you must have heard about Universal logic gates
so now we have a look over what is universal logic Gate. As understanding by name Universal logic Gate can be converted to Any logic gate.
NAND gate and NOR Gate are universal logic gates. With the help of these logic gates all kinds of Gates can be made with different combinations.
