Yea this video was pretty stupid/inaccurate. They price them as if they are regular factory cars when they are 1 of 1 hermes cars that would undeniably sell for give or take double the regular values of the factory stock cars. Extremely stupid.

It's hard to say. It depends on the buyer. A factory one from McLaren, untouched maybe valued more in some buyers eyes.

Disagree. While rarity certainly increases value I just don't see it in this case. The cars are timeless. Hermes is not. Designer labels are simply a trend. Sure they've been around a while but it's not really the wealthy that support them.. it's the poor using it as a ploy to appear more successful/credible and these cars certainly don't need said ploy to appear "credible" as they speak for themselves. Clearly im biased

The one 1 ofs Hermes dont's necesarely makes them more expensive, if people don't like them they aren't goign to be more expensive, i can see the same amount of peopel that would pay like 5 millions for one of the Hermes edition but i see the same a ount of people paying less than the original price of the car because the don't like the spec, also if someone doesn't like Hermes it wouldn't be on the market for those cars.

@@jahmsey The flexing is what puts me off. But the cars are gorgeous tho! Kinda figured that he's more about cruising around LA is more his style than the more driver focused cars. Good example being his Senna and Porsche 935 leaving the collection with barely any miles being added to them. Lookin forward to see what he's gonna do with the Solus GT considering its a track only car too. I don't think I've ever seen any content of him on track.

It’s not aftermarket. Bugatti sends the car to Hermès to get the interior done and they send it back where Bugatti finishes the car. During the process he has to fly representatives from each company to the others factory for the collaboration. He’s explained the process a few times. You’re making it seem like he takes delivery of a stock car then sends it to Hermès to get the interior redone when the car is actually built in collaboration with Bugatti and rolls out of the factory just the way it sits now.

The numbers they give are pretty much whatever the latest auction numbers have been, and then they add a little bit extra if it's got Hermes interior. There's absolutely _NO WAY_ that his speedtail is anywhere near $7M. It doesn't matter what he paid for it himself. The fact of the matter is that a Speedtail valued at $2.7M-3M failed to sell at Monterey in August of '22. Another Speedtail valued at $2.8-3M failed to sell in May of '22. Temerian put the Speedtail at $2.5M which is admittedly a bit of a lowball. Ed put it at $3.2M, not a single Speedtail has changed hands for in over a year. John put it at $3M, which is probably the most accurate one of them all. $7M is absolutely out of the question. As for the Chiron, not one Chiron Sport has changed hands at over $4M, let alone $5M. Even the special edition 110 ans hasn't sold over $4M. A Chiron Sport throughout 2022 has gone for around $3.3M at auctions. Add another $250K for the Hermes edition, and you're looking at $3.5M. His Huayra is absolutely _NOT_ $7M... Adding $250K for the Hermes factor, and another $500K for clear carbon etc, and you're looking at maybe $2.8M or so. The only Paganis that change hands for $7M are some very rare special edition Zondas.

They base it on the market and mods not from factory tend to depreciate. That said, a buyer would pay maybe 5 mill, it's like an iced out Rolex Vs factory set, or even straight factory.

@@explicitDTP Thats not really the fairest comparison, its more equivalent to the regular rolex vs the special edition andrea pirlo exposed movement rolex etc. People would pay the premium off of the exclusivity alone

Yes it's 1 of 1, but you cant really appraise it officially, it's just how much someone is willing to pay. Now if Hermes works officially with McLaren from factory, that's a different story.

Disagree. He truly loves and enjoys cars. Yes he does treat them as investments but when you’re worth as much as Manny having a return on those investments matters for his future kids. They might not like cars, they can then sell them for the money to invest in their passion. Cars is a passion of his even if he expresses it differently

You can always tell "Car people" by their passion for everything vehicular. Love looking at, hearing about, talking about, sharing and seeing... Those who view it as an investment or "Look at me, see my wealth" accessory? "Who cares," poser!

In it for the money rather than the cars themselves, why would you buy every SLR in existence..they are all investment pieces.
