What is Mathcore?

I promise I'm not making these up. Despite it's strange name, Mathcore is quite a unique style; A glitchy, frenetic offshoot of Metalcore. It says a lot about "society". I do not own the music, it is for educational and entertainment purposes, as always. Thanks for watching. Feel free to like, comment, subscribe, and all that Jazz. Ya like Jazz? Maybe you'll appreciate Mathcore.

Love your videos Occulturation. You're kind of my zen master in this journey though metal "illumination". Really apreciate the great effort. I really would love to see more analysis in metalcore genres. I feel is the side of metal thats more confused and misinterpreted. Would love to heard about the progression of metal before elements aside beginning to influence it (like djent or post-hardcore). Also, i have this little theory that metalcore is, more than combination between thrash metal and hardcore punk, a really diverse fusion between extreme metal (thrash and death mainly) and punk elements (specially hardcore and post hardcore, but maybe even crust punk). For this theories i based in the work of Breakdown Of Sanity, Bleed From Within, Unearth and even Varials (which i considere sometimes make a glitchy version of metalcore really inspired in Sworn In). But those are only my views. Really thanks for the great work.

Kim Dracula also mixes all kinds of genres in one song. But that doesn't do anything to me. It just seems like the guy tries to put as much as possible into one piece of music. But there is no underlying theme or emotional effect which the song is trying to achieve. That was also what I disliked about I wrestled the bear once. And that is where Dillinger stands out - it is chaotic bit the pieces fit together perfectly and make sence in that particular song.
