I really really love the way it acknowledges so many different ways you can experience arousal. It’s so easy, as an afab person especially, to feel broken for not experiencing arousal in the most traditional sense (seeing naked bodies and feeling turned on). I’ve never felt that. But I still love sex with my partner and there are so many ways to get turned on! It’s so nice to feel seen with all these different options ❤️

I wonder how this quiz would work with people more on the asexual spectrum. Like I just don’t really think about having sex that often, but my partner does. (I told you he started asking if he can schedule a sex appointment with me, which is adorable.) So I don’t know how I’d really answer a lot of those questions on the quiz.
I would say it depends on the person's relationship with sex. I for example know the answers I would choose in theory but not in practice because even though I have a high libido (some times), I lose all interest when there's other people involved. Also, I don't have much practice, so for me mostly everything related with sex is in theory. Just fantasies.
I feel like I would answer 'Neither' a lot, I wonder how it would impact the results. In the shorter free version there wasn't the 'Neither' option and I got the Sensual in the end which I think kinda makes the most sense out of the five haha
I suspect i would get maybe sensual though I can be a bit kinky, I mostly experience reciprocal arousal so I guess some of the questions may be hard to answer especially as im single atm so not really interested in sex

The lack of "none of the above" or ability to choose something other than "all" or "just this one thing" was very frustrating in the free quiz and will skew reasults a lot. And as Ace I really don't need to buy the full version😅😂

I don't know if its just because i am asexual but this quiz had a deep assumption that everyone has this massive sexual appetite and that's just not true for everyone
yeah, there's no option to even be demisexual. There's nothing like "I only want sex when there's a romantic connection" "I want to be close to my partner and I want them to feel good". Why is "high sex drive" a whole category but low sex drive/asexuality/demisexuality don't get any recognition at all?
I feel like this quiz has a specific purpose which is to learn about sexuality. If you don’t fall into a group it just means that maybe the quiz isn’t for you
@@JoshuaDowdUSBC My point is that some people still experience sexual attraction or engage in sex but sex isnt like hugely important to them, or they dont have this massive sexual appetite that this quiz assumes. I don't see why that side of the spectrum isnt included in this quiz.
I've found my people! I completely agree. Also, sensual attraction is considered separate from sexual attraction by some asexual people, some asexual spectrum people only want to give pleasure to their partner and have no desire for reciprocation (or the opposite), some asexual people feel no sexual attraction or desire but feel if they did they would be a certain orientation, etc. There are so many different ways you can be on the asexual spectrum and still have a sexual identity that are just ignored or not fleshed out
EDIT: I found a description of my result type in my spam email folder, so it does come with the free version as well. ______________ I did the free version, and got Sensual. Makes a whole lot of sense! But there was no description on Jaiya's website or in the email, so I found it in an article she wrote for "Tony Robbins". Here's the description from that: "Aroused by sensation: touch, sound, taste, smell, etc. They bring beauty, comfort and whole-body sensuality to a sexual encounter. Their biggest turn off is being stuck in their head and living in tension. A Sensual Type needs to be relaxed to open to sexual connection and turn-on. However, reading all of the descriptions in that article makes me suspect I might get a different answer if I purchased the full quiz. I relate to all of them a lot. Either way, this is an interesting view on sexuality and I think it's very valuable to reflect on your sexual patterns and what works/doesn't work for you :))

Tbh I am a bit frustrated that 'kinky' gets all put in one category, when there's so many different approaches to the different parts of BDSM with different motivations, dynamics, and areas of interest, and so many of them are fundamentally incompatible with each other. Somebody who's interested in D/s dynamics with conventional sex is just as incompatible with a sadomasochist who doesn't care for power dynamics or conventional sex acts as somebody who'd be put in any other category, and both of them again might struggle with somebody into kink because of the novelty it provides. Idk, it just feels like a vanilla person's idea of how BDSM and kink work.

I need to remind myself sometimes that just because sex isn't a transcendent experience for everybody doesn't mean that those people don't experience transcendence in other ways, or that they are "missing out" on something which I see at vital. Obviously I know that intellectually, but sometimes my "gut" has a different reaction.
I am a zookeeper in chicago and I regularly feed the hippos day old sausages so they have a taste of their home.
