@@BodyofHarmony The cool thing, my son and I presented NAD+ IV to her for the first time to help my son with a life threatening addiction to Xanax and Suboxone. He was completely off in fourteen days with barely any withdrawal, it saved his life. That was her first experience with it. In the last two years she's built 5 cabins for patients to stay while receiving the IV treatments. She's absolutely stunned by what it does helping a wide variety of afflictions and she doesn't charge an arm and a leg.
@@BodyofHarmony Honestly I think NAD is nature's best answer to pharma chemicals many who don't work so well. I loved the testimony from a retired cop who started NAD drip diagnosed with Parkinsons. In one month his symptoms reversed and he stopped taking his prescribed meds. What a victory for those involved in helping the afflicted by offering this wonderful product.
Even the most highly educated naturopaths get only a fraction of the training that physicians get. I wouldn’t take theirs advice, they are often ignorant of even basic biology and physiology.
Stem Cell and Aesthethics doc here. Seems like if NMN is eventually metabolized to NAD and both are beneficial, we would want to start with NMN and just take enough of it. Your thoughts?
I just ordered NAD supplements off Amazon. But I have no idea when to take them. On an empty stomach? After a work out? When I eat my dinner? I really hope it works. I’ve wasted hundreds and hundreds of dollars on supplements that don’t do anything. Like collagen.
I recommend you use is as recommended on the bottle or ask the distributor for the direction. Each supplement can be different but in general energizing supplements to be taken in the morning to make sure they do not cause sleep issues. From your comment it seems as if you are not going after one issue. NAD and Collagen do not affect the same pathways. Just because something is advertised or sounds good does not mean that you have to use it. I recommend consulting a Functional Medicine doctor around you so they can figure out exactly what your physiologic needs are. Also, remember some supplements affect the energy and mood and others like collagen have no obvious effect but more an internal effect.
How do you know the dose and rout of anti-aging products. I.e. Nad and glutathione and which fits to give together. Is there a handbook that contains it? Thanks
Yes, there are courses for physicians to take which explain these information. You cannot get all the information from one course, hence a continuing education is needed for physicians.
I took the NMD sublingual pharma grade, but I didn't know it was sublingual, so I just put that little scoop in a glass of cold water, it immediately dissolved, I downed it in the morning, ...and this stuff WORKS. It made me feel like my whole body was lubricated, muscles, brain clear, vision sharper. I'll continue drinking it opposed to putting powder under my tongue.
@@BodyofHarmony Yes, I contacted the manufacturer and they advised that the pure NMD was intended for sublingual use and that if I drank it, it would reduce the bioavailability. I tried placing it under my tongue, but it had the same effect, it just came about faster. . Thanks for the feedback. I also tried the pure NAD+ nasal mist . That product crosses the blood-brain barrier and doesn't go through the liver.
@@eddiaz5977 That is correct. Sublingual route ends up in blood directly bypassing the digestive system and liver, so the effect is faster. Nasal preparations take the same path as sublingual, however, they have an easier access to the brain. Thanks for the information!
I have been saying this... longevity is our choice! If we want to sustain our health, we have to do something about it! This will start by knowing what supplies our body needs. Start by eating a balanced diet, quit vices, exercise regularly and take an NMN supplement. Mine is a 500mg per day, NMN by Vitruvin. I just knew all of this lifespan information through Dr. Sinclair's book. It says there's no point increasing lifespan without. The goal should be to live longer while staying young and healthy. Sinclair believes that in the foreseeable future, it's possible for humans to live beyond 120 or even 150, without the frailty, diseases and disability we now associate with old age. See your result and tell the same experience.
Great video Dr, I would like to know how I can get IVs with NAD and F1 for example… I am in OC, Southern California. do you do IV‘s like you just shared on this video - with patients?

What are your thoughts on methyl blue? I tried the nad with some benefits but still dealing with the fatigue and brain fog from gas exhaust gas fumes and c0vid🤦♂️🤯
IN one of my Faceb**k groups- sauna - they state how awesome NAD therapy is to complete by supplements . the list of supplements is long and difficult to understand. my area in Tampa, Florida has the IV NAD .However, my concern - I have Dandy walker (just found out a few years ago) I'm50 female - loaded with toxins - parasites - hemolysis anemia - mold- adrenal fatigue ( sleep 12-14 hours day). will doing this IVNAD harm my dandy walker? (many years of MRI - all normal, for my standards) was a normal person up until age 40 when my body started whacking out. Thanks for the story!
Thank you for sharing that. I recommend seeing a cranial Osteopath. NAD helps with many different conditions, but I recommend you work on your conditions first and decreasing the amount of burden on your body.
I’ve had NAD the strongest dosage and the nurse said it was going to take 3 hrs for the entire IV drip. But because I was tolerating it ok just like a little rush she increased it and I finished it in 1 hr. An hr later I felt so sick like I was coming down with a really bad case of flu. It took me 2 days to recover from it but afterwards I was really amazing. I just wish I could afford to pay for it once a week as it’s 700AUD
It is interesting that your body had a purging reaction with NAD+. The dosage you got was probably the strongest dosage that facility offers. There are dosages that require 8-10 hours of IV. I have noticed that some of my patients can get it faster as well. Our experience has been that with subsequent IVs they start feeling it more.
It seems that you are getting the higher doses of NAD+ for a specific reason. Please let us know after you are done with the protocol about the success of your protocol. Thanks!

I had a gastric sleeve surgery 2 years ago and since i can't have NSAIDs or blood thinners because it makes my stomach bleed, is NAD IVs safe for me to do?
Having gastric bypass is not a contraindication to NAD IV, unless you have active bleeding or you have an abnormal response to NAD. But, the physician who will be administering the NAD will take your medical history and physical evaluation and laboratory information to decide if you can get NAD or not.
All supplements have to go through stomach acid (some get denatured and don't work the way we want to at this point) and then the enzymatic reactions in the liver. This decreases the amount of active ingredients ingested. If you don't have a good supplement with high bio-availability this is even worse. With IV route the ingredients have passed the stomach and liver and are available for cells to use and a higher amount can be given.
It seems to be about bypassing digestive and filtering organs, which is why the IV is the better route. It maximizes its bio-availability, and really lets it do its job.
Having done both, the IV is WAY more powerful. Like night and day. Also very $$$. But you don't need to do it very often, like every 3-4 months, to keep your levels up.
Do you recommend getting this weekly? And are you getting 250mg or 500mg per dose? I just opened my own mobile IV hydration busness in NC and want to offer this but I need to get more educated on it before I start. Thank you so much!
I hope you get some proper training, not all from RU-vid, as these videos are about what NAD is and using it as a patient. Not so much as a physician, which would be a more detailed training.
Thanks for sharing this information, hope you still answer the comments as this video is a little bit old, my question is how often NAD therapy is best for an average budget person, weekly ? Biweekly? Monthly? Does it affect white matters disease in brain ? I want to try ozon therapy too for brain function and rejuvenation of brain, do you think NAD or Ozon therapy, which one is more effective in decreasing white matter due to small vascular changes in brain.
Thanks for your comments. I will try to answer as much as I can respecting Medico-Legal limitations. NAD should be given based on the recommendation of a physician based on your medical history, laboratory evaluation, and physiologic needs. And based on that information your physician will give you a protocol and dosage. Ozone therapy is the same. These are molecules that are active and the first rule of medicine is to do no harm. Based on his/her experience your physician can tell you how successful they can be for your situation.
I am getting NAD ivs but didn’t do the vitamin follow up IV because of cost. So I wonder how much more benefit is with them together. If the cost is prohibitive for IVs regularly, would subcutaneous injections be good? I’m 79.
Theoretically once NAD+ is in the body the physiological and enzymatic reactions start and or are revved up. Vitamins, minerals, and amino acids are part of these reactions. So, when these ingredients are given around the time of NAD IV they are more readily available to be used. It is not a requirement as these ingredients are in the body already. If your physicians recommends, you can take the vitamins and minerals the morning of your NAD IV so that they are already in your blood stream as you get the IV.
I meant to type: I need NAD+ IV injections for withdrawal symptoms detoxing off Fentanyl patches! I'm going in hospital for complete detox but I don't think I can handle the fatigue and other withdrawal symptoms. I'm disabled and can't travel. Would it be ok to order it online from Ageless Rx? They mail injections after getting medical history.
Hello Jan, I am sorry to hear that. I am not familiar with Ageless Rx. As long as you are evaluated, monitored and advised properly by a licensed physician through out this process you should be fine.
Thank you Dr Hakimi. You 21:53 have explained the benefits and function of NAD so well. I have had several rounds of 1/2 dose IV NAD with supplementing inbetween with NMN , it seems enough for my body at this stage and it is also keeos the cost down. Why is NAD so costly?
Any IV or combination of IV's needs to be under the supervision of a physician. The physician will decide on the dosage and frequency. Each case is different.
If you look at the literature that was one of the main reasons it started being used. You have to find a facility which is knowledgeable in detoxing alcohol with NAD. And a Functional Medicine doctor around you to help with physiologic detoxification and inflammation elimination.
Can a healthy 61 years old, works out with weights use NAD+ and Resveraratrol in pills form? is so, for how long? I only have insulin resistance but no diabetic.
I came across your channel today and am very impressed. Thank you for this very informative video. Question What is the protocol you follow for Alzheimer’s patients? I would love to bring my father.
Thank you! Although we administer NAD+ IV, we don't do the full Alzheimer's protocol of NAD+. But you can find this out with researching around the area your father lives. We have our own protocols for Alzheimer's, which include a complete evaluation, IV nutrition, NAD+, and supplements. We have 2 locations Miami and Beverly Hills.
But remember, we have cancer cell which is not active. Everyone has it so that means NAD nourish cancer cell to, how about that? Is it true or not? Can you make a video of that? I'm just talking about the logic. Or NAD IV therapy is a Just a business.
More research is being done. For now this is what I have found: I am not aware of any research that shows D-Ribose, NMN, NR, Niacin, or Nicotinamide cause cancer or any causation or correlation studies attributing NAD+ to causing or exacerbating cancer. There are theories hypothesizing that there might be a relative risk of exacerbating cancer based on the Glycolosis pathways. NAD+ is responsible for more than 500 reactions in the body and the primary source of energy to the human body. On the other hand some of the reactions NAD+ is responsible in are in DNA repair enzymes potentially reducing the chance of cancer. NAD+, through the effects of PARP’s, may both suppress and progress tumorigenesis, this might be related to prevention of DNA mutations. NAD+ should not be used in breast cancer treatment or any cancer treatment which uses PARP inhibitors. Animal studies of wild type mice has failed to provide any evidence of increased tumor size or number. Interestingly, over expression of NMNAT3 raises mitochondria NAD+ and inhibits the growth of glioblastoma cells and supplementation with NA or NAM inhibits tumor growth and multi-organ metastasis in SCID mice. A phase 3 randomized trial of Nicotinamide for skin cancer chemo-prevention concluded Oral nicotinamide was safe and effective in reducing the rates of new non melanoma skin cancers and actinic keratoses in high-risk patients. If someone is undergoing cancer therapeutics they should stay away from all supplements unless they have been approved or prescribed by their hematologist / oncologist. For those with previous history or family history of cancers the same statement should be made regarding NAD+ boosters. Other studies involving FK866 to reduce the NAD+ did not show any tumor remission in patients with advanced solid tumors. Individuals with family history of cancers, previous history of cancer, suffering from cancers, or undergoing cancer therapeutics should not use NR, NMN, NAD+, D-RIbose, or any other supplements that may increase NAD+ without the approval of their hematologist or oncologist.
How does Vitamin C Help with the bad blood in the body in stage 4 Cancer patients. Please advise me on this matter. Thanks for your help and Prayers. Be blessed
Vitamin C may increase immunity. Since cancer is considered a low immunity state, vitamin C is used. It always has to be consulted with the physician who is doing the treatment of cancer as some immunotherapy, anticancer medication or radiation and vitamin C cannot be used at the same time.
Now that I've learned a little bit more about the precursors, I can see why I had such a bad Herc reaction every time I got an NAD IV.. After doing my labs, I saw that I had high amounts of inflammation and low on my b vitamins... Could that be why I had such a bad Herc reaction every time I got the NAD??
Thank you for the question: Herxheimer reaction is not part of NAD+ infusion. I think they were giving you the IV at a higher dose than your body could handle. NAD+ may detoxify cells but it does not directly work as an antibiotics!

NAD should not be given in a Vitamin Drip facility. It should be prescribed by and administered under the supervision of a physician, given for a specific reason. Your physician will decide how much and how often it should be given, based on your symptoms and laboratory evaluation.

I'm studying for the bar exam, and I'm looking for as much pharmacological help I can get to go along with the holy trio of exercise, sleep, and diet.
Just like any other ingredient NAD can be give in very small doses to see the reaction of the person. As a matter of fact in our practice we start everyone naive to NAD or IV nutrition with minimal doses and as we evaluate their response and responsiveness to the ingredient(s) we adjust the dose upwards. Every person and physiology is different and there are those who are more sensitive and / or have multiple sensitivities. A quote from one of my medical school professors has stayed with me and applied to any patient: "Start low, and Increase slow".
It may be tried. We have had patients who benefited from IV NAD in their quest to stop anti-depressant. However, this needs to be done under the supervision of your physicians after their evaluation and with their suggestion.
The dosage of NAD will be based on your physiology and the conditions you might have. A physician will recommend a specific dosage based on your evaluation.
I'm 51 and my workouts are low energy. I'll take supplements to try to plug the holes and get energy but no real help. Will NAD IV give me energy and how often will I need to get the IV?
Assuming you have no medical conditions, food sensitivities, hormonal abnormalities, and you have done a full medical exam... and everything is normal, yes, NAD will give you energy. The dosage and frequency is different for each person based on the response. We have patients on twice a week schedule and others on every other week.
Thank you for the breakdown, very helpful! I tried this a week or so ago for post concussion syndrome, long haul Covid and chronic pain. I felt pretty sick while getting the IV, increased headache, eye pressure, racing heart and nausea. I started with a very low dose (250). I do feel a bit better now. I’m interested in trying your supplements and getting another IV to see if I improve even more.
Make sure the drip rate is slow so you don't get the pressure effects! The supplements we use can be found in this link: bodyofharmony.com/collections/atp-generation-nad-support Keep us posted please.
Sounds like you got too much too fast. A general feeling of achiness or discomfort is common, but not this. Then again, with all the stuff your body needs to be healed of, discomfort and nausea are not unexpected side effects. The discomfort eases the more your body 'cleanses'. Drips should take at least four hours, even six. One drop every four seconds is what they do with me. Sometimes they can also give you painkilling meds such as Gabapentin to ease the discomfort.
I had one drip last week and had the same symptoms during the IV except for headache and nausea, but a few hours afterwards I felt very good. According to literature it is best to get at least 3 sessions in a row or every other day. Some places advise 6 but since it's expensive I imagine this might be a way to boost profits.
I had been suggested to drip slow, and if needed to walk around to help relieve some of those symptoms. Also, depending on location, some will give zofran to help with nausea.
Thank you for this informative vdo. Iv been told that the nad+ protocol is 1500mg within 3-6 weeks for 1st timer then 1 every 3 months for maintanace. Is this true or could you explain? thank you!
There are many "protocols" for AND+. The art of Functional Medicine / Personalized Medicine is finding where encouragement is needed in the body (physiology) and to support or augment those processes. Thus, a different "protocol" per person... medicine is never black or white, there are multiple shades of gray. Having said that the protocol you are referring to has been tried with Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and addiction/cessation/withdrawal protocols for alcohol, pain meds, and some anti-depressants and Benzodiazepines. However, it is important to work with the physiology of each person and not a specific milligram dosage. Please keep us posted on your experience and progress with the NAD+ protocol.
It all depends what the symptoms are. Each person has their own constellation of long COVID. NAD+ might help with the fatigue and brain fog. For everything else a thorough functional medicine evaluation should be done.

Hi Dr. -I have 2 uterine fibroids. I’m working with my OBGYN to have them removed via a minimally invasive RF procedure. Will this type of therapy cause them to come back, or perhaps aid in their removal? Thank you.
We advise patients against using NAD in case of cancer. Fibroids are usually non-cancerous, however, I did not see any specific studies on Uterine Fibroids and NAD. NAD will not remove Fibroids.
D-ribose is not same as NAD+. It is one of the molecules in the pathway of NAD+ production. At this point the real question is can we find an NAD supplement that can pass through the digestive system and stay active! There are not that many pharmacies which can produce this type of NAD and have science to prove it. So, we have to stay with its precursors and supplements that support the process. You may find some of those supplements on this link: bodyofharmony.com/collections/atp-generation-nad-support
That is a very general question which is hard to answer without evaluation. I recommend you find a functional medicine physician around you first and ask their advice. Then take their advice to your PCP and Cardiologist and see if they approve of the treatment.

NAD+ works in a specific pathway. It will only improve your lungs and breathing if that pathway is affected. The amount of vitamins per Genova testing is a daily vitamin intake and not specific for IV. I tried to find you a colleague in NE FL but have not been successful yet. I believe by now you should have some diagnosis that you and your doctor are working around. Please keep us posted.

It depends what you are using this for. If it is for a medical condition the prescribing physician will let you know how often this needs to be done. If you have no medical conditions and no specific reason to do this it would be wise to use other supplements which you may need instead.

It depends on the patient and what we are working on. So, it is at the discretion of your physician. However, in general, IM needs to be done many days a week in a smaller dose and IV is higher dose and less often.
I did intensive NAD IV therapy for a long-term, very difficult benzodiazepine dependency and it worked. But I noticed these other benefits too - increased clarity, reduced muscle and back pain and increased flexibility and stamina for a few weeks afterwards. My naturopath says you only need to go every 3-4 months or so to retain the benefits of such therapy, so that's what I've been doing in the four years since the treatment, with the exception of a year and a half during the pandemic. And I noticed not getting the IV therapy in that time. I also take a nasal spray twice in each nostril, 2x a day.
Please tell me more. I am going thru NAD therapy right now for the same thing. I use benzos about 2-3x per month and have wanted to stop. I have crippling anxiety at times and that's when I resort to the benzos.
@@jasonhuttermusic424 If you only use benzos 2 or 3 times a month, you don't have to worry about physical dependence. I've found ketamine to be better for anxiety per se. Charles, we all feel ups and downs on a regular basis. These are based partly on our environment and experiences and diet, environmental exposures,... Our hormones play a role as well, the amount of Thyroid Hormone, Growth Hormone, Testosterone, DHEA, Estrogens, Progesterone, Cortisol, Serotonin, GABA, Dopamine,... all play a role as well and they fluctuate naturally. What I am trying to impress upon you is that it is really hard to stay at a given number every day. But, I understand your question. We have not seen or heard anyone saying they feel less energy than before NAD IV. My guess is physiologically speaking, the function of mitochondria does not decrease when your levels of NAD (after IV) drops. Your system should go back to what it was. But since there are no specific research on this part of physiology at the moment, we will have to wait for more information.

Yes, a vitamin drip can be used after NAD. Based on the half-life of different ingredients in the IV the vitamins will eventually be used up or excreted from the body. In order to extend and support / potentiate the benefits of the process one may take certain vitamins and ingredients work in the mitochondria. If you noticed in the video I mentioned the drip rate can be adjusted based on the sensitivity of the patient not to cause any discomfort. Thanks for your question.
@@BodyofHarmony DR. I am a heroin addict. I was researching ibogaine treatment and i came acrossed a man who used to run an ibogaine treatment that now assists a dr with BR NAD+ treatment followed by ketamine treatment and myers cocktail. he is telling me that this is thefastest and easiest way that I can detox. is there thruth to this? I have a great job waiting for me across the country away from all of this garbage ive been surrounded by, and I really feel my life is on the line right now. I was going to pay to go to Ibogaine treatrment in costa rica when I had my car, wallet, cash, and passport stolen from me literally on my way to put the money in the bank to pay for treatment. now with no passport i can not even go if i had the cash.. any advice for me sir? I would really appreciate an honest non-bias opinion.
awesome video Dr I’ve heard of people getting nauseous during the NAD treatment and also taking some sort of anti-nausea pill or shot. and possibly having mild stomach cramps thxs
That is because the rate of administration is too high. Some of the celebrities posted receiving high NAD doses in a short period of time, and this became a trend with some people.
