What a series of grand coincidences. Just introduced to the term and practice yesterday while reading Victor Wooten's book "The Music Lesson" as I sat in the audience waiting for a Christian McBride performance (Richmond, Virginia) to begin. The concept's discussion begins on page 156. The show was fantastic, as is Open Studio. Thanks Bob.
Very good excercises those!!! Started doing such thing for drums a couple of weeks ago... Ma ma ma!!! That is crazy! Long way to go here still man!! Thanks Bop!
thanks Bob Deboo! always excellent instruction ~!!on 88 bpm groove tune the notation omits the low A on last 16th of beat 2 in second measure that you play consistently , which makes the groove better feeling ,being a variation of 1st measure....love this!
great! thank you! can I ask what metronome you're using? I use Tempo but not happy with the sounds, surprisingly hard to find an app with pleasing natural metronome sounds.
Amazing video! So dope. Wish I had kept my upright. Currently saving up for an electric one to work up my skills before investing in another acoustic one. I had a really nice for a high school jazz/ classical program I was in.
